This hotel is well appointed, very clean and the staff was very helpful. The lobby area was very attractive. The hotel is minutes from the airport. Even though our stay was related to personal travel, I highly recommend it for business travel if you need to be near the Charlotte airport.

A snow storm provided full house of stranded persons did not stop this group of excellent Hilton employees from providing care in a positive, hospitable way. The building is first rate and the staff even better.

The staff displayed true teamwork and customer focus. Fully-booked due unexpected snow, the service, the rooms, the food, and the facility were outstanding. The staff made us feel welcome and were very friendly. Newly built in 2013, this is a great place to stay, minutes from the airport.

I travel for a living, and stay in a lot of hotel properties. I have experienced bad winter storms before, and typically as a result, the hotel staff is as grumpy as the guests. This was surely not the case over the past couple of days. The staff at this property did a fantastic job accommodating a full house during this very difficult period. Because of the bad road conditions, staff were stranded at home, and couldn't get into work. As a result, the hotel was significantly understaffed while dealing with a fully booked property.

Everyone kept a smile on their face, provided awesome service, even though you could see how strained they all were. They accommodated many last minute flight cancellations with poise and professionalism. In fact, during all the chaos, I personally got to know some of the staff, which is something that rarely happens at any property.

The property is new, bright and well maintained. The food was excellent, and had a great selection of liquor. Serving staff, albeit completely swamped, did a great job of getting everybody watered and fed. It was quite a sight to see them in action! Other guests commented along the same lines, and it was obvious that the hard working dedicated staff were very much appreciated.

I rarely provide online comments because of the time required to do so, but felt compelled to commend the staff and highly recommend this property. If you ever require accommodation when travelling in or out of Charlotte, I couldn't think of a better place to stay!!

Huge snow storm catches Charlotte by surprise......race to find a hotel close to the airport just in case you get a flight out.....find a diamond in the rough!!
This HGI is only about 2 months old and I just want to say that Marsha and her staff did an amazing job under the circumstances. I think only 4 or 5 staff stayed even though the snow kept coming down. They made sure every customer was taken care of, maybe not to the customer expectations, but with limited staff and being overwhelmed by the weather, great job by all.
I would recommend this hotel for anyone coming into the Charlotte area. Competition is tough in this industry and the "little" things mean a lot to a business traveler. Again my kudos to Marsha and her staff. A special shout out to Tiara who handled all the people trying to get something to eat!

I ended up at HGI Charlotte Airport because of a cancelled flight and major storm. I can't say enough about the staff and their exceptional customer service. They are running shorthanded and most of them have not been able to go home for several days due to weather, so they have been here round the clock. Even so, their first concern is the comfort and convenience of each guest. They're pleasant, cheerful and getting it done.Their teamwork is remarkable. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The restaurant has a great selection of food that is actually healthy and delicious -- not what I expect from airport hotels! I'm lucky to have found a room, and Hilton is lucky to have a team like this.

Beautiful new hotel, clean smell and great staff. Amber the bartender ( I believe was her name ) had a warm welcoming smile when you would sit with her at the bar. My steak and asparagus was fantastic by the Chef Wes. I was not fond of the GM as I overheard her conversation with another guest about how much money she has made the hotel within a short period of time. From a business owners opinion, that should not be discussed with anyone other then the owner. I look forward to staying at this hotel again.
