Checked in late, around 10pm. Was greeted by 2 extremely friendly ladies who gave me a nice welcome, 2 bottles of water, a warm cookie and my key. Lobby was nice enough. Fireplace with a tv. Hotel smells of new carpet and renovations. Then I get to my room.
I flip the lights on in the vestibule and what do I hear? Buzzzzzzzzzzzz.........I thought it would stop if I left it on to warm up. Not so much. Bad lighting in the bathrooms as well. Very low light. I liked the lighting next to the beds and there are a ton of power outlets in the room. TV was on the smaller side, but worked well. Heating and AC worked well and were quiet. The walls are PAPER thin. I had the tv on and could still hear the people next to me talking. And they were talking at a normal volume. It was very, VERY annoying. The hallways were loud too. If someone was walking and talking, or going to to their room, you'd hear it.
I got an extremely good price on this hotel so that part was good. There is a much more updated Hyatt Place right next door that perhaps I will try next time.
I appreciate that the manager has been responsive to the reviews.
I hate to say that I would not recommend this hotel to a friend.More
