We have been camping at Indian Creek for years and have yet to find a nicer campground. The sites are big and offer privacy. The fishing is great. The staff and the camp store are wonderful. Facilities are clean. Location is perfect.

This was the highlight of our vacation with the new (used) RV which ended up being the vacation from H**L. The people at the campground were very helpful, the campsite we had (#9) was wonderful and the creek in back was rewarding. They took pride in the upkeep in the restrooms and in the entire camp. We even had the tribe restock part of the creek during our stay of 4 days. It was a little far out but the peace and tranquility was worth the effort. Thank you for our stay with our Lab and you courtesies. Explaining the title- Had a blow out on the way home, developed pneumonia and stayed at a poor campground in KY

Great park, great staff. I cannot stress enough to NOT DEPEND ON YOUR GPS TO GET YOU TO THIS PARK. Get directions from the Park Hosts. GPS will take you down a very dangerous road with numerous switchbacks. Impossible if you are in an RV or pulling a camper. Lovely place to stay.

What a beautiful campground! We stayed on site 12 for 3 nights and wish we had stayed longer. The site was large and two tiered, so that we could back in our pop-up camper on the first level and also have a spacious lower level directly near a stunning river. We were lulled to the sound if the river each night. You also have a good deal of privacy as the sites are so large. The bathrooms are incredibly clean. And I mean walk barefoot clean. The staff are so friendly and even drove me around in their golf cart upon arrival to help me choose the best site. We were hesitant to book a private campground as we generally prefer more primitive camping, but we wanted to use our electrical and water on our new camper. This place was as close as you can get to nature as we have found in a private campground and it is also very convenient to GSMNP.

This was our first time camping up in the mountains in East NC. We followed the directions that were on the website(as instructed) and didn't have much of a problem getting. The signs indicating the distance to the campground really helped. Check in was easy and the WiFi worked well on our phones (they have a repeater deeper into the campground as well). We tented next to the stream at site #6 which was a good location. There is a close proximity to the other campers on your left and right. Most campgrounds that I grew up going to in other parts of the country have partitions (trees, etc.) between the sites. Thankfully the people were very quite on each side of us. The only issue we had during our stay was the first night. I thought there was rule at most grounds that didn't let people set up camp after a certain hour. A family showed up two sites down from us with a giant SUV and a horde of kids at like 9:30 - 10:00. He proceeded to pull out 3 flood lights to illuminate his camp(looked more like a LZ for a helicopter) as he set up. Needless to say it ruined the atmosphere as we sat by the fire and made getting to sleep a challenge. Facilities were great as people claim. Staff was friendly. I witnessed the staff cleaning them several times. The campground also put on a hot dog and smores roast on Saturday which was very nice. We met a lot of great people there! We saw several folks catching fish along the streams bank, even though my attempts to catch anything failed, doh! Overall it was a great experience and I look forward to going back someday!

We have camped here twice now, and will certainly do so again. The rates are reasonable. The location is beyond beautiful. It is truly the best combination of nature camping, but with wonderful and CLEAN showers/bathrooms. The staff is friendly. Sites are large and well placed to maximize privacy. Pictures on the website are completely accurate to describe the appearance. Super quiet and peaceful, so much better than the cookie cutter chain campgrounds. Camp store is well stocked and reasonably priced as well. Boys loved fishing in the stocked steam for trout. Thanks to Bill and Heather for a wonderful stay.

Room Tip: Creek side sites are truly creek side. Love falling asleep to the sound of the water.

This is a great campground! It is very clean, pretty landscaping, and peaceful listening to the creeks. The owner and the employees are constantly sweeping, moping, blowing leaves, and raking the camp sites before the next campers arrive. The sites are not too close together. I like the fact that the campground is not real big. The bath house as others have said is spotless and bright. We check out the other campgrounds in the area and glad we had chosen Indian Creek. We camped during the rainy spell and still enjoyed our 5 night stay. It is not too far from the Cherokee attractions. We would stay here again.
