“GLAD IT IS GONE !!!!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 October 2013

What always has bothered me is that this lady Paula talks sooo much about southern cooking when her food is nothing but pure grease. Also if one percent of the items she has capitalized on are made in the USA it's a miracle. Everything is made either in China, Pakistan, etc. What kind of American is she when being such a millionaire she does not contribute to the employment of Americans keeping those jobs in the USA. I am extremely glad that Harrah's in Cherokee, NC, at least at that location, got rid of her restaurand, the rest should follow, when the crap hit the roof she knew how to shed cocodrile tears on TV apologizing for who knows what her real intentions were, that I do not know so I can not judge. IT SERVES HER RIGHT !!

“Pricy but very good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 September 2013

I had the breakfast brunch with friends it was very good but a little pricy. Eggs to order cheese grits lots of meats to choose from and everything else you could ask for on a Sunday brunch including great fried chicken.

“New name (SELU) Same old food”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 September 2013

The name of this restaurant may have changed (for obvious reasons), but the food is still the same. The decor is the same as well, minus the previous network stars' name all over the place.
The food is adequate from the menu. The buffet (this night it was fried catfish, fried chicken and fried shrimp). I can't understand why restaurants insist on steam tables to keep food warm, when all it does to fried foods is make it soggy and tasteless. The shrimp were so salty, it was almost unfit to eat. Chicken was very dry. The best part of the buffet was the vegetable medley.
All in all, I wouldn't go out of my to eat here again. I suggest Harrahs' finds another use for this large room. Sorry, but it just doesn't cut it.

“Breakfast favorite.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 September 2013

Paula Deen's kitchen is a great place to eat. I have never had a meal there that I did not enjoy. I have eaten her fried chicken and her meat loaf dinners are wonderful. The restaurant itself is on the ground floor of Harrahs and a very pleasant place to sit and relax and eat your meals. I found that the buffet although small is still to much for breakfast, so I just enjoy a choice of breakfast foods off the menu. The prices are good along with the food and service.

“Nice clean place, good food”

A little pricey although the food is good, service was good and wait time was short. Must have gotten there at a good time (10:45 am)
