We stayed at the Baymont one night, July 15, there in Cherokee to see the Outdoor Drama. I asked about the fresh cookies I saw mention of, and was told at the desk that the manager had not ordered any. I asked if it was a hot breakfast, and was told it was in fact a hot breakfast, but it was only hot if you put your waffle and toast in the pop up toaster. The breakfast was ordinary hotel fare. But everything was very, very clean-- the hotel was very un-pet friendly, so there were no pet odors or dander. I would stay there again, but I would take my own toilet tissue because the maid had neglected to put any in our room. What is the point of a double roll fixture if it is empty? Not even any spare toilet paper rolls!. I also think that there should be a nice view if one is in the mountains, but our view was of a very ugly parking lot and shabby large community center. If anyone plans on conserving water by showering with a friend, then forget that because the tub is small, and the bathroom is outhouse sized. I think an obese person might need the jaws of life to get un-wedged. Even with my minor complaints, I would stay there again because it was so darn clean. Everything looked new. I would just take my own toilet tissue, just in case, my own cookies, eat at the Hardees up the road for breakfast, and keep the window curtains closed to ignore the lack of a mountain view.
