We went to North Carolina to see my girlfriend's brother. We wanted to see Cherokee, NC. We didn't reserve a room for our stay. We also had our 2 Beagles with us. We checked out a few pet friendly hotels/motels. It was pricey for what we wanted and a little outdated. The staff was very pleasant, they did like our Beagles. The room was clean. When we return to Cherokee, this is where we will stay

we stayed here on a motorcycle trip thru Tennessee. the motel is an older motel, but it is clean and neat. great view. owner/manager very friendly and helpful. let us (after check out) drop the tag a long trailer we were hauling in his parking lot while we rode the tail of the dragon. a little pricey, but being in close proximity to the casino and cherokee itself makes sense. biker friendly...will stay again...

Normally we take our RV when we stay a week in Cherokee but for an overnight stay we decided to find a motel. We found Drama Inn that is pet friendly. Yes, it is an older motel but the staff was very friendly and it was clean. Our room (110) was on the lower level and had a huge private deck on the back overlooking the river. We could even trout fish from it if we chose. A few steps down the deck and we were on the stream. I will definelty be going back. It is in a great location and the view is breathtaking.

Room Tip: Get a room with the river view. Also the new rooms are beautiful with a jacuzzi, fireplace and are...

I stayed here with my 2 kids on a family trip. The rooms were a little outdated but for the price and the view cant complain. The porch with rocking chairs on the river was great. The weather was cold when we stayed so didn't get to enjoy much but just to walk out of room in morning and see river was great.

ive stayed here every year ive come to Cherokee.. my fav. place to stay this year was a little different i asked for the same room with private balcony usually 59-.69. the raised it to 110. and the other private balcony room over 200. i wouldnt mind paying this price if it was an upscale hotel but its dated older no micro oven.. and i felt like i was sleeping in hospital bed with the plastic on the mattress .. i still like this place but.... your pricing yourself out of customers there are other choices in the slow season..... ill be back to check it out..as i said i enjoy this hotel and i feel safe here

Room Tip: they have private balcony rooms on river but watch out for the price they have other rooms on river...

We stopped at Drama Inn because it was the first place we passed that was on the on the river. I would have normally gotten a cabin or a B+B but I had the rents' with us and they wanted to get a room ASAP.
It did not look like a super nice hotel from the outside but I was really happy with our stay. The riverside rooms have a awesome view and the river is literally right under the balcony. We were within walking distance of a great park, town and stores, the local rodeo, the museum. Really great location. The woman who checked us in was very nice and helpful. The rooms were OK, large which was a plus with a little fridge and with a fun native motif. For the money (very affordable), I would say this was an excellent choice.
