Three Bear Holler Cabin Rentals
Reviewed 20 May 2013

Went for a weekend getaway and didn't want to leave!!! The cabins were amazing, clean, charming and cozy and had everything we needed. Mornings were spent sitting on the porch having coffee looking at the breathtaking view. Location is perfect with lots to do close by. The owners, Marc and Pam were wonderful hosts. Plan on going back many, many times!

The owners, Marc and Pam have combined their wonderful talents to modernize the interior of Mama Bear cabin with modern day conveniences while keeping the original cabin design. The workmanship with the cabin and attention to detail really shows the care that was taken with when rebuilding the cabin. Sitting on the porch over looking the mountains feels like you have stepped back in time.
My husband and I absolutely love to stay in Mama Bear and have returned once again to enjoy the beauty and serenity of the North Carolina mountains in a real!! log cabin.
Thank you Marc and Pam for your warm hospitality. We will be back again soon.
We also love the chickens and of course "the brown dog" Brutus. Can such a friendly dog really exist??
Thanks again for a wonderful stay.

This is our fourth stay at Three Bear Holler. We have stayed in Mama Bear and Baby Bear and they are both so peaceful and comfortable its hard to choose which one when we make a reservation. Now that Papa Bear is well under construction our next visit will almost have to be a reservation at the New Papa Bear cabin. Marc and Pam are always the perfect hosts making sure we have everything needed for the best stay. They make you feel right at home just like family. If your looking for a peaceful relaxing mountain getaway, look no further. Just a warning though, once you come here you won't want to leave. The hospitality is unbeatable and the friendship priceless. Also be prepared to fall in love with a big happy chocolate lab named Brutus. He loves everyone.

I've traveled all over Europe and the US and I've never been to a place like Three Bear Holler. This is my all time favorite place to go. I have never had the experience that I had on my weekend in Baby Bear Cabin. I felt so at home and had the most amazing time there. The bed was confortable, the cabin had everything we needed and environment was exceptional. . Pam and Marc have made Eutopia in Western North Carolina. I felt so at home. I can't wait to go back!

We stayed in Mama Bear cabin for Our weekend , We didn't get a chance to meet owners Marc and Pam , They were out of town although ,They made sure when We arrived there was fire already in wood stove fire place , whole farm was beautiful . The Cabin was well furnished , We didn't need for anything . We were greeted by Brutus the well behaved guard Dog . We spent most of the days at Biltmore house, but We would rush back to the cabin to enjoy the evening at the cabin with a fire and beautiful mountain views . We booked through Carolina Mornings , who was so very nice and Helped Us fine this wonderful cabin . will definitely come back .

We rented the Mama Bear cabin over New Years Eve and it was perfect. The wood stove insert fireplace, location and view, and character of the place were great. Convenient to Biltmore, great mountain roads and the Appalachian Trial.

Marc the owner lives nearby (above you on the mountain) but gives you plenty of firewood and privacy. Would definitely stay again. Both the owner and Carolina Mornings rentals were a joy to deal with.

Would definitely stay again!

We were dreaming of a cabin in the woods for a week-long get-away, and we found it with Baby Bear! Baby Bear is in such a beautiful and well-appointed area that we ended up spending most of our week at the cabin or nearby. We actually considered staying closer to Ashville during our planning process, but I'm so glad we didn't! We couldn't have found an area as beautiful as Fines Creek, and the properties we considered were nowhere near as lovely as Baby Bear.

Baby Bear manages to retain the charm of a 1920s cabin, despite being fully-renovated within the past decade. Lovingly-chosen antiques and handmade quilts contribute to the feeling of being back in time, but guests still enjoy great water pressure and a modern kitchen. The cabin includes a comfy four-poster bed, a back patio and grill, a fireplace, a dvd player, and a cozy couch with afghan. There's also a wonderful cross breeze moving between the front and back screen doors.

Every morning, we enjoyed breakfast on the cabin's front porch gazing at the stunning view of the mountains and breathing in the fresh air. We hiked the ridge trail connected to the property, as well as part of the Appalachian Trail a short drive away. We made friends with the proprietor of the area's General Store, and attended a Bluegrass Festival down the road. We drove twenty minutes into Waterville for a Farmer's Market and a great restaurant meal, and spent a day following the Blue Ridge Trail into Ashville.

Also notable, we were warmly welcomed by the proprietors of Baby Bear. They greeted us with a basket of crackers and honey made on the property, and even slipped us a little moonshine (legal, if you're not handing over cash for it). We also had an unexpected - and memorable - host in the form of an enthusiastic brown labrador who greeted us mornings with wagging tail at our front door.

As I indicated in the title, I cannot recommend Baby Bear enough! It is a truly memorable, country get-away.
