This hotel is wonderful. Beautiful, very clean rooms. Even the duvet covers are clean for each guest. Room contains fridge and microwave plus a flat screen TV. A breakfast of both hot and cold items is offered each day. Good choices for everyone including kids. Each evening(except Sunday) there is a Manager's reception where food and drink are offered gratis to visitors. Great way to have a light supper "on the House". Nights we were there meals were Hamburgs, Mac salad. Next night Chicken Fingers and Potato Salad. Finally-BBQ pork sandwich and cole slaw. Each person is given two drinks (wine/beer) with your meal. Soda is also available. With breakfast and evening meal included you can't go wrong. The staff was exceptional, all were pleasant, helpful and informative. The hotel offers a free shuttle to anywhere within 5 miles of the hotel. This includes Charlotte Motor Speedway and the Concord Mills Mall which is a huge outlet mall offering a great selection of stores, entertainment and food. It is also home to a Bass Pro shop. The area also has about 50 restaurants within the 5 miles and range from Red Lobster, Sticky Fingers, Quaker Steak & Lube to Waffle House, Sonic and Dennys. A few of these are well within walking distance.
If you are driving and a BJ's member be sure to have your member card with you because BJ's Gas is only a block away and you can save money at the pump.
We found the beds extremely comfortable and the room very quiet. The rate we paid of $95 per night was well worth it and considering the "extras" we got, well worth the price. We will definately stay there again and will highly recomend this hotel to all our friends who will be visiting the Charlotte area.

Room Tip: We stayed on the 5th floor looking out back of hotel. We could see Bruton Smith Road and other hotel...

Stayed here as part of a church-related event, and this was the Designated "official hotel." Good choice. Clean rooms and public spaces, well kept. Breakfast was typical Hampton fare, which is typically good, though that sausage gravy could sure use improvement -- I'm sure this location is "locked in" to this selection, as I've had it elsewhere and it was no better. Spacious dining area, which is also used for evening snack service/reception with chicken wings and such (good, but ran out quickly).

Gracious and helpful staff. Wide selection of restaurants nearby, and Concord Mills is just across I-85. Charlotte Motor Speedway is a few blocks away, so the location is excellent - though, as another reviewer noted, traffic can be heavy.

Minor issues: Shampoo wasn't in the bathroom when we arrived, and I had to get the front desk to send housekeeping around for some (provided quickly); the housekeeper forgot it the next day, too. Pillows are small-ish, but beds are comfy. WiFi was dependably fast.

Overall, another dependable Hampton, which is why we like to stay there.

Thank you for taking the time to share your comments with us! Feedback from our guests is the best training tool available to us. While we are required to have specific items on our breakfast we can try to mix things up a little, so we will try to be more creative. And I apologize that we ran low on items at our evening reception. This is a very popular service and we are working to ensure we have more then enough going forward. Thank you again and we look forward to seeing you in Concord again in the near future!

Stayed here for an event that was held at the Speedway and also to shop at IKEA. Fairly standard Hampton Inn. Nice greeting on check in. Lots of tables in the breakfast area. Fitness room has a treadmill, a stationary bike, an elliptical machine, a set of medicine balls and one exercise ball. I used the treadmill. It's probably better for walking than running because it clanks something wicked when you run on it (somewhere in front of the right part of the console). Nice to have a fitness room at all, though, and there's a TV in there too. Towels provided. No cups available for the water cooler, though.

Pros:
1. Very convenient to the Speedway -- just down the street. Also right off of I-85. Fairly easy drive down to IKEA using the interstate as long as there isn't a motor vehicle accident.
2. Free internet with decent speed.
3. Shower heads placed high -- nice for those who are tall.
4. Near a number of different restaurant options.
5. Comfortable bed.
6. Soft towels.
7. Basic fitness room.

Cons:
1. It's near the Speedway -- which means TRAFFIC. The hotel is set back off the main road, though, so it is relatively quiet there at least.
2. There is a hot breakfast included but it was super busy and there was an over 15 min wait for the waffle maker. The scrambled eggs, ham, & cheese dish didn't look very appetizing so I didn't try it. The lady tending the area did keep the muffins and pastries well stocked, though.
3. Advertises 24 hour coffee but in the evening it is lukewarm at best.
4. The front staff didn't know where some of the nearby recreation options listed on their website were located.
5. I found a hair on the bed under the pillow. I am going to hope it was just from the comforter.

We weren't expecting anything great, but we were expecting to get a good nights rest.
Sadly, that wasn't in the cards for us.
First, maybe the slowest elevators we've ever been in.
The hotel is only six (6) floors, but the elevator made it seem like twenty (20).
Next, the room itself...normal...nothing bad, nothing great.
We appreciated the in-room fridge, but thought it should have already been turned on and cool.
When the rooms a/c unit came on overnight, it was so loud, it woke me up every single time.
And, three (3) bath towels for two (2) adults?
Come on now, let's spring for two (2) each as a standard offering.
The shower was next.
Unless you left the showerhead on the high intensity pulse setting you didn't have any water pressure.
Lastly, one of my favorite pet peeves...chicklets for pillows.
The pillows (4 in number) were about 1/2 the size of a standard pillow.
They were soooo soft, they sank into nothingness almost immediately, and they held the heat in too!
On the bright side, for where our activity's were this location was terrific.
Lots of respectable places to eat at nearby, and the front desk personnel were very polite and professional.
Check-in and out were effortless!

This Hampton is at the outlet mall exit so there are a lot of restaurants, gas stations, stores and and shopping nearby. It can be a busy traffic area and the hotel is a little off the freeway in an area with a bunch of other hotels. I liked the fact that it was a little farther away because the hotel seemed quieter. Parking is a little goofy as there is very little in the front but there is a "back" parking area and you can enter the lobby from either side so it's not a problem.

It's a pretty standard HI but it feels like they have larger rooms. I thought the suites here were more comfortable than an Embassy Suites. The food is standard HI - not particularly appetizing. But of you're hungry there are lots of nearby options.

Overall I like this locationbecasue of the room size and the area activities.

I stay at this hotel a couple of times a year and always find the staff friendly and helpful. The rooms are extremely clean and the continental breakfast satisfying. I have stayed at a couple of other hotels in Concord but this is my favorite.
