“SIMPLY DIVINE SAYS IT ALL!”

What a beautiful home!. Carmen and Rob have done a wonderful job restoring this remarkable house. Our only problem was that all of the B&B rooms are upstairs and my friend doesn't do stairs very well, but Rob was so good about helping with the luggage after helping her up the stairs that she was okay. He also helped her down the next morning and again with the luggage. The breakfast was outstanding. Then I went out to start the car, we had been so excited about this beautiful place that we forgot to unplug the refrigerator that we carry and the battery was dead. I tried AAA but to no avail, I've already addressed that situation, and Rob called a local garage, helped the driver push the car back to be accessible, all of this out in the rain, being taken care of with courtesy and efficiency we were on the road again. Thank you so much Rob and Carmen.

Miss Hassie,

Thank you for staying with us. Loved the 'eyelashes' on your car. We hope that you make it back to NC from OK again.

We were glad we could provide a little assistance with the vehicle - we know what's it like to be far from home and have car trouble.

We do have a downstairs room but unfortunately it was booked that night.

Best,

Carmen and Rob

My partner and I often stay at B & Bs while travelling along Interstate 95, and this one is the best by far. A lovely large house, with a charming and attentive couple owning it, and eager to please their guests. One really distinctive feature was their willingness to cook dinner for us on a Sunday evening, when all the local restaurants (except dreadful chain places) were closed. And breakfast the next morning was beyond compare the most delightful I have ever had in an American B & B. First rate, excellent, and worth breaking a trip early if you have to - this place is fabulous!

Carmen and Rob are accommodating and gracious hosts. We contacted them the day before our arrival to see if there were availabilities and they described the last remaining room, and at that time we also made arrangements with them to have dinner. Our room was perfect and so was the dinner--which consisted of a large delicious lettuce salad, creamed chicken breasts, asian rice, mixed vegetables, coconut cake. The only possible shortcoming of the place was the fact that there was a shortage of available electrical outlets in our room! The best B&B we've visited in our 50 years of marriage.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Coral Room, which was quiet with a nice view overlooking the garden.

And the interesting thing is that this southern style comfort is provided by a couple from Canada! Rob and Carmen are great hosts, helpful but not intrusive. It's great for a romantic get away. The rooms are fine; ours had an old painted design washbowl in the bath. Beautiful old ceiling beams; stained glass windows on the stairwell. You will like this stop-off on a long trip, right in the middle of a town with many old antebellum homes. Next door is a military museum. Oops, almost forgot to mention the breakfasts. Very good and varied. We stayed three nights.

Room Tip: Check out the Coral room with the painted bath basin.

In November of 2012 we travelled from Sarasota, Florida to Baltimore, Maryland to visit our sons and grandchildren. We had our little long-haired Dachshund with us and when I saw on the website that they allowed pets I was delighted. It was convenient to get off I-95 although we got a little lost since it was dark already. When I called the owners they said not to worry they would leave a key if we were to be really late. We made it there in time to meet the owners and I cannot say in enough words what a beautiful house this was. The room was upstairs and so inviting and most importantly spotless clean. We often found staying at a regular motel or hotel allowing for "pets", the rooms often leave a lot to be desired. In the morning we were served a wonderful breakfast prepared with a lot of love it seems. The Owners are truly charming and above all very caring and they want to make sure that you are comfortable. We truly were that. I wish we had more than one night to stay but again it was a visit home to Maryland and we had to break it up into one overnight. We are heading that way again over Easter and are already looking forward to staying there. Highly recommended!!!!!

Room Tip: All rooms are lovely.

This is a beautiful house. The owner is just lovely. Our room was large and clean, however, the bathroom heater was not working and it was pretty chilly in the morning. Breakfast was fine, not gourmet, but adequate for our needs. Our car was very full or our suitcases and we were assured that it was fine to leave it parked in the parking space belonging to the inn. It was more than fine. We had a bike and were allowed to chain it up and leave it on the porch. I would stay here again.

Room Tip: When you call, ask the inn keeper to help you decide. That is what I did and it was a fine choice.

We stayed in the Jade room and this was a wonderful excuse to get away for the weekend. The owners are wonderful - present just enough but not hovering. We loved this room - especially because the shower was completely updated and lovely. Breakfast was delicious and varied between the two mornings, and we also had a delicious salmon with dill sauce that was prepared just to cater to my vegetarian request (well, i eat fish). dunn was fun to poke around and get lost in an enormous antique shop for hours, and we really enjoyed a local historical home/museum dedicated to the "Father of the 101st Aireborne," General William Lee.

Room Tip: Jade room had what seemed to be one of the most modern bathrooms from our peek-a-boo around. but no...
