This was one of the most pleasurable and memorable experiences I've had in a long time. The town itself is clean, classy, beautifully restored throughout, and absolutely tranquil at night. The B&B is within walking distance (5 min) to both downtown and all the historical attractions, as well as the waterfront. And then there's the food! Don is truly a BBQ pit master, having won his share of awards. The ribs were without a doubt some of the best I've ever had, and his techniques are simple and easy to learn. He's a friendly and patient teacher, too. The breakfasts were beyond exquisite. Diane's experience as a chef really shined through here. Omelets and pancakes and fresh blueberry compote, even fresh sausage, they really took care of us and we never left the table hungry. These are very real and personable people who are a pleasure to get to know. On top of everything else, the B&B has a charming atmosphere with bedrooms to match. Our room was quaint, the bed comfy, the bathroom perfect. We were never too hot or too cold. The porch outside is inviting for reading or casual conversation without other guests. This place is exactly what one needs to distress from the busy city-life. Thanks, Don and Diane!
