“Wonderful, delicious, go there if you're in town!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 February 2014

My boyfriend and I went to dinner there last weekend while we were in town visiting wineries. It was an overnight trip for Charlotte and in researching ran across this place. It was absolutely delicious!!! The waitress and service were great! She explained to us how the menu works and how the entrees are really big enough for more than one person and the sides are HUGE! We had a cheese plate which was one of the largest cheese plates I've ever had. It was all delicious! Then we split the lamb appetizer, a cheeseburger and the two sides mac and cheese and brussel sprouts. We didn't even need all that food. It was a special bacon cheeseburger with bacon jam and bacon aioli. It was not too much bacon-I'm not even a big bacon person and it was perfect. Everything was excellent. It is quaint and we sat downstairs in the main restaurant. Really enjoyed it. We will definitely be back when we are in town again! Excellent wine choices as well, lots of local pics.

“The Good, the Better, and the Best”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 January 2014 via mobile

Driving from Carlisle, PA to Charleston, SC we chose Jonesville as our stopping place because of its proximity to 21&Main. We had a choice of restaurant or wine bar and chose the wine bar. We got upstairs to find it almost empty which suited us fine because we got to ask lots of questions. "Good" were the the drinks, a Cosmo for Mary, a Hendricks on a rock for me, and then a very palatable Scotch Ale. "Better" were the appetizers, Fried green Tomatoes, and Cheesy Poofs which were balls of pimiento cheese, breaded and deep fried with a side of pepper jam. "Best" we're the entrees. Smoked Lamb Shoulder, and an out of this world Burger which turned out to be made from the rib-eye and fillet trimmings. It came rarer than I would normally like, but it was stunningly good. The whole experience was enhanced by the knowledge of the batman whose name I have sadly forgotten, and by the charm and interest shown by the owner, Erika.

Definitely a place to return to if we do the journey again!

“Quality Culinary in small town”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 December 2013

For a small town restaurant Twenty One gives you Big City Taste...The Owners are great folks who have made the menu proper for all wallet sizes..But REMEMBER you get what you pay for and this is FINE dining...My Ma would be jealous as this is the only place who has ever made Brussel Sprouts so succulent that I would eat them....and the MENu just gets good from there...Check it out and the MENU changes randomly

“a great meal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 December 2013

We had heard this little restaurant was good, but I don't think we fully expected the unique and diverse menu to be so satisfying. The building is cozy, well decorated and hip. A nice surprise in Elkin. Service was just right. Whatever you do, don't miss the filet. An absolute treat. Perfectly prepared, tender and a whopping 10 ounces for $24. I had mine served with the brussel sprouts…divine. The mac and cheese was a little disappointing. We also had the duck and tuna appetizers. The tuna was mediocre but the duck was amazing. It was a little odd to not have any salad options and the drink/wine list was a bit lacking. The entire menu was vague with less than detailed descriptions of the dishes. With all of that said, we will definitely go back and have recommended it to several. It would be a wonderful place to dine with a group of friends as the appetizers are large, varied and many.
