Great quite play with everything you need and a strong attention to detail. Perfect little patio. They loaned me a bike to ride around town and walking distance to everything downtown and campus. As close to home as you get.

This place is a gem if you are going to tour Elon Campus. My only complaint is that I am sensitive to fragrance and there was too much fragrancy smell in the rooms. They should be more fragrance free for the general public. Beside that it was a very nice place, clean and a complimentary breakfast was lovely.

I've stayed twice at the Acorn Inn now. This little inn is a couple of blocks from the Elon campus and the same distance from the tiny town of Elon, which has a couple of restaurants, a bar, and a great ice cream shop. This is not a historic inn; it's fairly new. The rooms are actually suites with a small living room and fireplace, a nicely appointed bathroom with whirlpool tub, and a comfortable bedroom. There's a mini-fridge stocked with snacks and white wine, and more white and red wine on the mantle, and a coffee maker and microwave. The beds are very comfortable, and the bedrooms have ceiling fans for further temperature adjustment. In the morning, there's a nice breakfast in a common room, and the inn has a large front porch for relaxing in the evening. Although the inn obviously appeals to those visiting Elon, it's definitely worth the @4 mile drive from I-40 for those passing along that interstate corridor, if you're looking for a quiet, well-appointed, spotless B&B without the highway noise. For those who want all the usual assortment of chain restaurants, those are a couple of miles away; there's also a large supermarket down the road. But don't overlook the more local restaurants (within walking distance), especially Simply Thai and Town Table, which I've reviewed separately. For non-Elon affiliated guests who can't access the excellent campus gym and other recreational facilities, try jogging down to the Elon track (about 1/4 mile) or walk/jog the trails in the area. The Acorn also has bikes for use by guests. My only reservation about this inn is the closet space: closets are actually wardrobes, and both times there haven't been enough hangers.

Whirlpool bath provided for my suite, a very big bed, a porch to sit on, a good substantial breakfast. My room seemed pretty secure. The neighborhood seemed safe enough. The Acorn Inn was a great value for the surprisingly low price.

We recently stayed here, family of 4, for a visit to Elon University and the Acorn Inn was perfect. Not terribly fancy but very clean, friendly and comfortable. Eating breakfast on the front porch was a treat. The room was quiet and we all slept well.
