We thought we were to stay in the lodge itself but were told there were no rooms. the lady at the desk did some little tricks and got us the only king on the lower level as all of the ones on the main were taken with adjoining rooms.
The fireplace was not on high but gives a nice look and the pit area is great for meeting people. Being Corvette people, my husband wears a Corvette hat much of the time and that started a number of conversations with those who own and the wannna be's.
Dinner was great on Thanksgiving!!! Desserts were marvelous. Service was attentive and there was no crowding as the reservations were timed from 12 noon to 8:00pm.
3 meats - turkey, ham and BBQ's brisket.
Next day was left overs and we just loved it!!! all this and no dishes to do
The bed was not the best - bit lumpy in places. We got rid of the comforter and used the blanket provided. The room open on to a lower level patio which is not private but as it was cold, we used it as our coolers refrig ( no fridge or microwave in room). There are two chairs which is a plus. Bath is smallish.
We loved our stay here and have done this in the past and may do it again in the future.More
