Very comfortable cabin with everything you could possibly need. Great central location with beautiful view.. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you Millers.
This cabin is beginning to feel like home, as we have returned two years in a row. Everything needed is there. If not, shopping is an easy trip in town. We were thrilled to have been there when we got nearly a foot of snow, making the area even more beautiful. The church carillon bells playing Christmas carols is always a plus too! Leave that porch light on, the Taylors will return!
The cabin and it's view are outstanding! It is just rustic enough to feel like you are vacationing in a secluded mountain getaway yet has all the creature comforts your own home has. Its plenty close to groceries, shopping, attractions and restaurants if desired. We like cooking all our own food and found the fully equipped kitchen a delight!!
It was one of our best vacation finds ever! Indeed for us, It was a slice of mountain heaven and God willing, we will be back!
We highly recommend this cabin.
P.S. We found the road up plenty safe enough!
We stayed here last Sept. on a trip we called "Rainbows & Hummingbirds".
So quiet and peaceful, enjoyed the church bells playing and echoing thru the valley.
Loved it so much we are heading back next week.
Views from the cabin are spectacular! It is so nice to just sit on the porch and look down the hill! Cabin is reasonably priced, looks rustic with a lot of wood. Also, cabin's kitchen is well equipped - so that it was easy for us to cook.
The only issue was: we did not know (until we saw a note on the fridge) that we need to bring large-size trash bags (they are not provided, and you must take your trash into town to dump it since there is no trash pick-up in the area).
Incredibly beautiful views. The cabin was perfect for a family of 5. Kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary tools and equipment. The owners were very proactive and responsive. We had a bug problem the first night, being in the mountains, they immediately sent a exterminator. It was dark and a bit late when we reached and it was a little anxiety-kicking, especially for people from the plains lol. so would recommend reaching before dark the first night to get to know the path.
We stayed at A Little Slice of Heaven over the front end of Memorial Day weekend and it was truly relaxing. The cabin sits atop a hill overlooking the Iotla Valley and Macon County Airport. It's very quiet and tidy. The kitchen is equipped if you wish to cook there. There's a fireplace in the living room and baseboard heat throughout in case it's chilly; window AC's and ceiling fans if it's hot. Robin and Michael were very pleasant to work with and provided detailed directions to the cabin as well as other info. There are rocking chairs & a porch swing on the deck to relax to the sounds of nature after a day exploring the Franklin area. Also easy to say hi to the passing wild turkeys around 6:30 each evening as they trek through the woods. It's centrally located to many mines and town - about a 17 minute drive from everything. We'd definitely stay there again in the future! Thanks Robin and Michael for sharing your charming cabin with us!!
