“It may not look like much but it's a must see”

The Frisco Native American History Museum is a gem of a place to visit! It may not look like much from the outside but inside is filled with Native American artifacts from around North America! The exhibits are well put together and vastly interesting. They have made improvements and additions over the years and continue to do so. I love the passion of everyone involved! A MUST SEE for anyone who loves history, nature or just like museums!

“Lots of Stuff”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 June 2014

The small building housing the museum holds a lot of stuff - but that is all it is, a bunch of stuff. There is no cohesiveness or flow to the exhibits, and a surprisingly small amount of info concerning local indigenous tribes - lots about Wild West Indians here. Can't complain for a $5 admission, but it could be so much more.

“Someone's hobby”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 May 2014 via mobile

This was more of a hobby collection in a tiny cramped space. It is obvious that someone is very interested in "Native American" culture but that's really it. To call it a museum is a bit misleading. With the 15 dollar pop at the door for families and a non-profit listing, I was disappointed to walk the creepy crooked floor with the many replica items on display. (Native American's didn't use hot glue guns as far as I remember) . It's a nice private collection of some interesting things but lets be honest, no way a museum. My 10 yr old daughter inspired we go because she loves history. She apologized to the family when we left saying " what the heck was that?" I try not to give bad reviews and just be informative, but if they're bold enough to advertise this as a museum then I have to be bold enough to call shenanigans! Please, save your money. If you still want to go, lower your expectations....a whole bunch.

“Don't waste your time!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 October 2013 via mobile

Awful! After driving an hour and 45 mins we were so excited to arrive. My son loves Native American history and artifacts. First of all, the brochure we were given at the tourist center was out of date. I was expecting to pay $5 for the family to enter, it was really $15! It's a small, rickety shack, leaning and creaking with every step. There were artifacts inside, but like other reviews not necessarily about local tribes. Boring, waste of time and money!

“Interesting”

The museum was small and cluttered. Very hot, no central air just small room air conditioners in certain rooms. Not sure everything was authentic or Native American.
