“A beautiful gem!”
Reviewed 15 June 2013

Quaint location offers an amazing get away for two. The beautiful garden and gracious hosts make for a very pleasant experience. Close to local eateries and shops make this an ideal location for travelers. Definitely on our list as a place to visit again.

My wife and I, both from Wilmington N.C., were looking for a nice, short, overnight trip somewhere we really did not know much about and chose a trip to the Fuquay-Varina Spring Inn and Garden Bed and Breakfast. It was a great choice!. The owners, John and Patty Byrne are wonderful hosts. John is the Mayor and gave Sharon and I a tour of the area after we arrived and set-up arrangements for our dinner and led us to our destination, before dinner, of an excellent micro-brewery, Aviator Beers, which has is origins in the the town and tours, etc. Just a great overnight stay. John and his wife are wonderful hosts that truly love the history of their house and the region. As a N.C. native and Social Studies teacher in the State for over 20 years, I sincerely appreciated the warm reception we were given and I would recommend their Inn, which is a beautiful testament to 1920's architecture, for any occasion. Top Notch!!
Thank you John for providing an upgrade in accommodations and creating a very memorable weekend for Sharon and I!

We wanted a nice B&B for our niece's wedding in Fuquay-Varina and we found the best one. The house and the grounds are beautiful, well-maintained and have a fascinating history. The innkeepers, John and Patti Byrne, are gracious and full of interesting information. We stayed in the Carriage House and thought it well-appointed and thought out. We arrived prom week-end and the gardens were in fine form for prom photos throughout the week-end. Breakfast was wonderful, served in the formal dining room of the main house. Can't say enough. John's stories were the icing on the cake (New York Yankees, Joe DiMaggio, Marilyn Monroe). Ever near Fuquay-Varina, you have to stay at the Inn.

This was our first B&B stay and we were delighted! Both John and Patty Byrne were very gracious. John gave us a history lesson on the area and the property. Beautiful restoration. We were fascinated with the details that John related to us. The breakfast was fit for a King - wonderful breads, fresh fruit, perfect eggs and GREAT coffee! We highly recommend this facility!

Beautifully restored inn with wonderful hosts. We stayed in the carriage house and it was very comfortable, private, and beautifully decorated. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious and both John and Patty make you feel very welcome. Wonderful place for a relaxing escape. Any NY Yankee fans are in for a real treat.

Room Tip: If you want a small kitchenette and more privacy opt for the Carriage House.

We have visited many B&Bs, but this Inn was, by far, our favorite. From the moment we entered the Inn, John & Patty treated us as old friends. The art work at the Inn, displayed in every room, is a treat for art enthusiasts, and the history of the area, as explained by John, is something you won't want to miss. Patty has a wonderful array of flowers and trees in the garden and we enjoyed her commentary. Good food, great people and lots of fun. We will indeed be back!
