Three of us went for the first time. Server was very good. Place was plenty pleasant. Diverse menu. Calamari had too much breading so lots and lots of breading crumbs on the plate. Some kind of cheese that was really thin with no personality on the bottom. It served no purpose. The side salads were nice but the small bowl each was served in made it very difficult to cut up the cucumber or even tomato. The salad itself was big enough, just a bad way to present it. My crab cakes were pretty good but were very flat rather than being plump shall we say. Again, ample serving but they looked like the salmon cakes my mother made. Wife had chicken marsala which had lots of chicken but too much breading and a bit salty. She readily admits she has not had it probably in years but just did not like it this time. Guest had a pasta dish in a standard ceramic baking dish. She seemed to like it. My guess is this is the way to go if you want an entree. Their burgers were huge and looked very good. I will go again and try one of those.
This probably seems more critical than it should. Probably not a bad restaurant at all but one to carefully pick what you order. My sense is the effort is there but the execution is a bit off on entrees.
