The office is 1.1 miles away from the marina. We rented our suits and tanks there. We tried on our gear at the office. Next we had to load it in our car and drive to the marina. There were 4 of us which meant we had to carry 8 tanks and 4 bags of gear. We didn't have room in our car for it. No one told us about this part. They also didn't tell us about the back entrance to load our car. So we were marching through the store with our gear and walking to the front parking lot.
Fortunately, we had another diver after us with a truck and he kindly helped us.
We then had to unload our car onto the boat.
The dive masters were helpful and full of information about the site.
On our dive, the crew was retrieving 10' long brass or copper pipes from the shipwreck. These pipes were part of a 1942 Greek shipwreck. Needless to say, the pipes took up the entire walking aisle in the middle of the boat. Also, by retrieving the pipes, the water visibility was even worse. Our second dive was disappointing as a result.
We will not return to this company for diving in the OBX.
