“Very interesting”

Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum
Attraction details
Reviewed 14 May 2018 via mobile

This museum near the ferry is not to be missed, it is so interesting. It tells the history about the shipwrecks which surround the outerbanks. Items which are retrieved from the ocean floor are on display. Also a history on scuba diving. By the way, admission is free but be fair, leave a donation.

We visit here every time we visit the Outer Banks! The staff is always welcoming and the gift shop is great!

This was the last stop on Hatteras, with all the attractions this a full day from the time you cross the bridge at Manns Harbor over the Croatan sound. The building is a true head turner, there is plenty of parking, the day we where there it was windy with an overcast and parking close to the entrance was easy to be had, they have donation system which you should be mindful off to help offset the expenses of operation, There is a bounty of displays and artifacts that is well worth your time.

While in the area it was a nice stop, was very informative and had more then I expected. There is no charge and it is very close to the ferry location and has a boardwalk to the ocean right there. It was on my intinerary from the start and am glad we stopped.
