This was a very nice little museum, they did a great job telling several stories of the sea, all of which were local, that informed you and helped you understand what an important nautical crossroads the Cape is going back 500 years. Don't come here expecting expensive A/V multimedia exhibits - its a free museum. But if you are even slightly interested in coastal NC history, or seaborne history at all, I guarantee you will learn something in this museum. A surprising number of rare artifacts, including a few traveling exhibits. They even have a little scavenger hunt for the kids for a prize - wonderful little place, well run! Take an intermission from the museum and go stroll on the beach just a few hundred feet from the main entrance.
