“Peaceful and Plentiful Cabin Retreat”
Reviewed 7 April 2018 for a stay in April 2018

The cabin and property are amazing! Stocked with all the necessities and amenities you'd need, and then some more. The kitchen is a true chef's delight. John & Jean are top notch hosts with outstanding hospitality! Very cozy, comfortable, and relaxing atmosphere. Beautiful views of the mountain ridge & river. So peaceful to sit on the rocking chairs on the porch, or the numerous benches on the property, or lounge in the hammocks to enjoy the sounds of nature, especially the flowing river. Nice, pretty easy trail down to the river. We throughly enjoyed exploring all of the property's acreage. The fire pit was enjoyed almost daily and the smores were delicious. Stocked with great games, tons of DVDs, and shuffleboard was a favorite of ours. Awesome place for families-our kids had a blast! Great area in NC, tucked away, yet so close to adventures like ziplining, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, & more. Also, for slower paced activities, there is an abundance of wineries, breweries, and antique shops to explore in Hayesville, Murphy, & Hiawaisee. Some delicious restaurants too, try Shoebooties, Angelo's, & Valley River Brewery. This cabin and surrounding property is truly a hidden gem! Great place to unwind, relax, & rejuvenate the mind and body! We will definitely return!

“EXCELLENT PLACE”
Reviewed 21 March 2018 for a stay in March 2018

Upon arrival, John met us at the cabin. He gave us a thorough walk thru the property and proper instructions of the entire facility. The lodge was very well stocked with all the amenities you could possibly need. It was a very clean environment and he provided us with tons of stuff to do for entertainment. Overall, John was a great host and I would definitely come back to rent his place again.
