We used to pick apples growing up in the New England area; this year my Husband and I went with Mom and Dad to re-live the memories and get some delicious fall apples to eat and cook with. We had read about J.H. Stepp Farms and heard it was a nice place so we decided to try there, we will look no further next year. We had a really good time; the atmosphere at the farm is laid back and trusting, they basically rely on you picking the apples and then honestly showing them what you picked – it was refreshing how simple it was. The farm is family run and they were very nice; they gave us a map and answered all our questions and you can drive all over the orchard so you don’t have to lug the box around. When it was said and done we picked about 70 apples for less than $25 bucks and had a few hours of good old family fun! It was a really good time, we may go back another time to check out the grapes they have there too.
