“Comfy, homey place”
Reviewed 5 April 2014 via mobile

Very clean, staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Excellent food, presentation was great. Had pretzel salad, with chicken and potatoes salad, carrots, fruit all on top of fresh crisp greens. Hubby had the best she crab soup in crispy bread bowl on top of greens. Yummy. The desserts are to die for, had apple fritters about size of you thumb rolled in powdered sugar served with vanilla ice cream with caramel.

“Had a great Sunday brunch yesterday at Mother Butter's in Hendersonville, NC.”
Reviewed 17 March 2014

Mother Butter's offered several special for St. Patrick's Day, but we both chose the Guinness Steak Pie. It was fantastic, perfectly spicy, with Guinness Ale broth, and a beautiful, tasty crust on top. Another highlight was the array of side dishes, all included with the meal: roasted potatoes with cabbage and bacon (and butter, of course); roasted sweet carrot souffle, topped with powdered sugar; fried okra, and Irish soda bread. We finished our meal with coffee and Sticky Toffee Pudding (aka English Toffee Cake). It was delicious. Mother Butter's promises “refined comfort cuisine” and she keeps her promise. Highly recommend it.

“Very delicious salads!”
Reviewed 21 February 2014

My husband had the Mediterranean and I had the Wild Green salad. They were served with bread and were the best salads we have had in a long time. We were lucky to find this restaurant as we were traveling through Hendersonville. Had it been later in the day I would of had a glass of the Biltmore Merlot wine.

“Loved It!”
Reviewed 15 February 2014

Our dental hygienist recommended the restaurant for lunch, and we loved it -- small and cozy, decorated with china, mirrors, stained glass, lace; serving lunch between 11 and 2; very clean restrooms. The soup-of-the-day was quite tasty, unique lemon flavor, and served HOT. Turkey Club on toasted ciabatti was thick with turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes; served with scoop of potato salad, mandarin oranges, pineapple slice, couple each of baby carrots, sliced cucumbers, and celery sticks for dipping in ranch dressing. Reuben was steaming on the plate; pastrami, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut; same sides as Turkey Club. Service was excellent; charge for refills on soda. Will definitely eat here again.

“LOVELY DECOR”
Reviewed 23 January 2014

This is by far the best lunch place in Hendersonville.I have been there 3 times and loved it every time.
The prices are fair. Served in a very appetizing way. I have taken several friends there and most are anxious to go again.
I have had the pretzel salad (excellent) turkey (excellent) and don't remember the other time but I'm sure it was equally as good!
