“much ado about nothing!”
Reviewed 9 June 2014

so you can sit outside….you are looking at a pile of lumber….oh they are building a bar at some point…..we were sat a table…..rocked back and forth…..no one cared to fix it…..should you not carry out champagne glasses on a tray?……maybe then….. they would not have been dropped on the table and broken one?…….the make over seems rather half……? The see through kitchen should have stopped at the dish pit?…….the food…..ummmmm…….the ribs…tasted warmed over…….I can have that at home……..the service seems to have dropped……the manager …watches…but does not help…..I don't know that I would recommend?……maybe…next time I am in Highlands I will try again……or not! The inside atmosphere chaotic! and noisy!

“New Venue same Great Food”
Reviewed 2 June 2014

Having moved to Main Street Highlands, off the Dillard Rd. location, you can now simply walk up a flight of stairs to experience the Cullinary Expertise of chef/owner Nicholas Figel, and you do not want to leave Highlands with out claiming this restaurant as your New Favorite Dining spot. Overlooking Main Street, the vibe is young, the atmosphere hip and the food, well...Special.
If ytou enjoy tastes from around the world, all in one location, book your table well in advance. Still wrapping up finishing touches, out door terrace dining and expansive outdoor bar, tended by Richard, Highlands Best Bartender, you are in for a treat of the most memorable kinds. Soon to be open for lunch at a time to be announced, just book it with Christina and let Nicholas and the great staff treat you to a truly memorable dining experience.

“Seafood dish with no fish”
Reviewed 1 June 2014

I ordered the L' American dish for $28.00. It was supposed to have fish, shrimp and mussels. Had 3 shrimp,6 mussels and no fish. I told my server, Jessie and he shrugged his shoulders. A female manager came by and asked how was everything was and when I told her, she left and didn't return for the 45minutes. We never saw a server again until I finally got a bill.

“New Highlands location”
Reviewed 31 May 2014

Finally Cyprus has moved into the Town of Highlands,NC. What a great move it is. Cyprus has never failed to deliver great food and service. Now it's even better. Great energy in the new space. Outdoor seating!!!above Main Street!!! The menu is very similar to the old location. The chef owner brought in a new chef. these two guys along with Johannes Klappdohr of the Old Edwards Inn are the best of the culinary talents in Highlands/Cashiers.
The food, as always, was incredibly well prepared, service was great and a good looking crowd made for a wonderful experience. A place not to be missed. Over the years we had a lot of disappointing dinners in Highlands that we now go only to Cyprus and Old Edwards Inn. Consistently great!!!
