Fire Mountain was the perfect get away! A place to unplug and unwind, the property has all the comforts of home without the everyday hustle and bustle.
Our room was serene with a
superb mountain view. We enjoyed coffee and the cool morning air on our private deck, followed by a delicious gourmet breakfast in the inn's quaint dining area. Afterwards we hiked
the property, appreciating the quiet and solitude. Highlands is just a short drive away so we took advatange, but couldn't wait to return to the inn. We had a picnic dinner on the hill and watched the sun set behind the mountains. We definitely got what we came for...rest and relaxation and we look forward to a return visit.

Fire Mountain is an awesome property located outside of HIghlands in the NC mountains. Close enough to the surrounding tourist communities, but it feels like a million miles away. One of the nicest places we have ever stayed, and will definitely be back!

Room Tip: Fire Mountain has a lodge, cabin and several tree houses. We chose a tree house and loved the quite...

We just returned from Fire Mountain and had a wonderful experience. This was our third visit and it was lovely. We stayed in the Inn and enjoyed amazing views, a delicious breakfast and cool mountain breezes even in July. You feel worlds away yet are close to fine dining and great hiking. The owners are incredibly helpful and are willing to assist you in setting up activities or meals. This is a romantic location that allows you to relax.

My new bride & I just completed a lovely stay with Mathew and Hiram at Fire Mountain. We were in one of the cabins, and the quiet, privacy and beauty of the surroundings was exactly as we had hoped. We especially enjoyed the hot, freshly prepared breakfast delivered to our cabin each morning ... Absolutely delicious and a wonderful way to start the day.

This is not a place for those who need to be entertained, but if you're looking for an idyllic setting and simple, but comfortable accommodations, this is the place.

We had a wonderful time and will be back.

Tranquility, cool mountain air, and gorgeous mountain views await you at Fire Mountain Inn. Upon
arrival the owners Hiram and Mathew acquaint their guests with the Inn, the surrounding property,
the numerous activities, the restaurants and the shopping available in the surrounding areas of
Cashiers and Highlands. The hospitality of Hiram and Mathew and the staff ; along with the
superb breakfasts, makes a trip to Fire Mountain a fun and unique get a way.

If you're looking for a place to take a deep breath and appreciate nature, Fire Mountain is the ideal place for you. My fiance and I enjoyed the peacefulness of the property and both felt rejuvenated after our stay. Mathew and Hiram are such kind, thoughtful and fun owners. They made us feel genuinely at home. Their staff was equally great and the breakfasts were a delicious start to our days. We will be back for sure to visit our new friends at this healing place.
