We have eaten at Meritage Bistro twice. The first time on a Monday evening when there were few other diners. The service was exceptional that evening. The second time was on 4th of July weekend night. The restaurant was very busy and we were seated after a large crowd was finishing up. The waitress forgot a drink order, but when remembered it was on the house. Also received some mixed signals about what substitutions could be made. The food was well prepared and delicious. I like sitting outside, but the chairs are uncomfortable and flimsy. The indoor seating on the "patio" enclosed porch is more comfortable. The very best thing is the constantly changing entrees and very fresh seafood. As the staff gets up to speed I expect this will be one of the best places to eat in Highlands.
