My wife and I have been vacationing in Highlands for about 15 years, and we've eaten at Wolfgang's just about every time. The menu offers quite a bit of variety, and for several years, I always ordered the horseradish encrusted tuna. That dish no longer is available on the regular menu, but it does show up occasionally as a special. I've tried other seafood dishes and the wild game, and this year, I opted for the weiner snitzel (sp?) with beer. My wife enjoyed one of the seafood specials. We sat on the outside patio during twilight on a perfect evening weather-wise, and both of us enjoyed the food and the service our waiter provided. Wolfgang's is in a convenient location on Main Street, and it's a 13 to 15 minute walk or a five minute drive from our B&B. This also turned out to be the least expensive meal we ate at what we consider the top of the line restaurants in Highlands.

This was our first experience with Wolfgang's and we hope it will not be the last. We ate here on this occasion, based on recommendations from friends, reviews on Trip Advisor and the menu published on the website. This was a special occasion (anniversary) for us and management went out of their way to make sure that we were well-treated and made to feel special. After our meal, they surprised us with complimentary desserts.

We were really pleased with the cuisine and with the knowledgeable and courteous service. The restaurant is attractive and the personal attention by the staff is very nice. We were fortunate at the time we were leaving, to spot Wolfgang, himself, and he was kind enough to chat with us for a few minutes. He is very personable and eager to have the opinions of his clientele, which is not a universal attitude among well known Chefs.

We would highly recommend Wolfgang's for any special occasion, or even one which is not so special!

Our experience started positively when we received a call from the restaurant reconfirming the reservation that we had made over a month before; offered us the option of seating on outside covered patio. Setting was lovely but the meal was a disappointment after all the raves we have read about the food at tWolfgang's.

The Bavarian Sampler that was ordered by 2 members of the party, looked like it was thrown on the plate...the 2 servings were not equal portions and just looked messy. Trout plate was "beige" and flavorless. Only meal that received good review was the crab cakes and pecan crusted shrimp. Meal quality did not justify price paid.

We won't be returning.

We had dinner here our last night in Highlands. The service was exceptionally friendly, and the food was delicious. There is nice quiet seating inside, and a more casual outdoor patio, which is where we sat. It was a cool night out (so cool that they had the patio heaters on - in August), and the patio was perfect. It was covered and had a waterfall in the corner, making it feel more like a garden/courtyard. Very nice surroundings for a great dinner. We got lucky getting a table, as it was crowded. I suggest making a reservation.

Went with a group of friends four of us. Ordered cocktails on recommendations from the server, appetizers and our meal.We ordered all at once being as it took forever for them to come to our table. The drinks were horrible, waved down another server after waiting for ours to never show up. Ours came by she took the original drinks and went to get new ones.We didn't get our drinks til our dinner arrived, thank goodness we had water. Ordered the veal medallions with crawfish and lobster sauce on top. Absolute awesome tender and tasty. Will order this again!
