My daughter and I stayed in this snug and cozy cabin for 2 nights this fall. The location is lovely- a large lot where two creeks meet. Would be a wonderful place to splash and swim in warmer weather.
It is clear the owners put a lot of effort into keeping the cabin clean and well-provisioned. We enjoyed the hot tub and appreciated that the water is changed between guests. We had some trouble getting the gas fireplace lit and the owners were kind enough to come right over and help us out. We had a campfire (with the provided firewood) and roasted marshmallows and hot dogs (with the provided roasting forks) and it was wonderful on a chilly night.
The cabin is right off the highway (not a busy one) so while it has a secluded feel you will hear occasional road noise. There are shades on the back porch by the hot tub that you can close so you can't see the highway at all, though. The other thing that would have been nice to have would have been a clothesline to hang up our wet clothes--the ones that can't go in the dryer-- after rafting (maybe there was one and I missed it). Other than that everything was near-perfect. I hope we can come back again soon!
We spent a great weekend in this cabin! We had beautiful weather and the setting is amazing. Secluded, on a trout stream with a waterfall and a hot tub on the deck. The cabin is small but clean and cozy. The location is close to Hot Springs but a curvy mountainous drive, so it is a bit challenging. The owners are super nice and we are planning on renting from them next year. Highly recommend this cabin.
