This was without a doubt the most horrible place I have ever stayed. I lived on the road for 7yrs, staying in a different hotel every couple of days. And this is BY FAR the worst! There were BUGS in both our beds, they hotel had no other rooms available and DID NOT EVEN HAVE ANY CLEANS SHEETS!!!! The man at the front desk, whose name I never got, picked four LIVE bugs off of one bed and was extremely rude and talked about us openly and loudly to others as if we were the problem because we didnt want to sleep on beds that had bugs in and on them. My daughter and I ended up sleeping in our van because there were no other rooms to be had in about a 100 mile radius due to a competition and many weddings in the area. The general manager was supposed to have talked to us but never did. All in all this was the most horrible place I have ever stayed. I called the health deptartment and filed a complaint. The whole place needs to be treated for bugs. NASTY NASTY NASTY!

We have stayed here on several occasions while heading back north from Florida. The location is excellent - about the half way point on our two-day drive home. Our last visit (Room 105), however was really a disappointment. The air conditioning unit was old and very noisy and the (six inch thick) mattress was worn, hard and lumpy. We spoke with the manager about this and got the expected 'we can move you to another room' but as all rooms have the same in-room air conditioners and ancient mattresses, why move? This hotel could be so much better with a modest investment in modern air conditioners and new bedding.

My wife and I found this place when we were traveling down the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Out of the 3 other Best Westerns & the Quality Inn this was our favorite!
They were really happy to have their guests, the other guests were really friendly also.
They were the only place that told me I was allowed to keep my motorcycle under the awning out front. They also have a motorcycle wash area out back. The pool was large, clean, and refreshing. They had this really tasty complimentary sweet tea in the lobby. The breakfast was excellent. The room was clean, the bed was soft, and everything in the room worked.
The management really takes pride in this hotel and it shows.
If you're staying in the area STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!!

Super nice people working here! The breakfast was 'ok' but it is the standard stuff one would see on the breakfast bar, and it's free so you can't complain about that. The rooms were clean and most importantly, the AC was cold. It wasn't on when we checked in and it took a little while to cool the room. I wonder if they will turn it on before you arrive if you request that?
There is a pool and it's pretty large.
If you are a state employee, they do honor the discount, so make sure you ask. It was a great rate!

This was literally the perfect stay. I can't think of anything extra, that could have made it better. Arrived around 3:00ish and the check in was seemless. The front desk person was extremely helpful and answered all of my questions regarding the local dining. The room was VERY clean and had all the amenities you could possible need on an overnight trip. The bed was really comfortable and the room was large enough to stretch out and relax. The evening was uneventful and the sleep was sound. Morning breakfast offered a good variety, to include scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, fruite & assorted breads/bagels. The coffee was on late into the night, so that was a pleasant surprise for me. Their is separate sitting area in the lobby, away from the breakfast area, if you want a semi-quiet place to enjoy a cup. We didn't use it, but it has a large pool, exercise room and a business area with fax and computer. Overall, a great stay and if you are military or a federal employee, there is a discount!

if you are tired and lonely and need a place to relax this is the place for you. Roomy suites that are clean and extremely comfortable beds and pillows. We were tired and called ahead and were checked in by the time we reached the hotel.

Of the hotels I have stayed in over the last few months, this one was one of the best. The staff was very nice and helpful. It is also in a good location right off the highway, beside a Cracker Barrel and centrally located around many wineries.
