“Sit at the bar for great experience”
Reviewed 11 May 2014 via mobile

Visited on super busy night. We were hungry so decided to skip the wait for a table and sat at the bar.
Our bartender was an energetic guy named Greg who instantly welcomed us & took our drink order. He was very helpful with the menu and knew what had been caught that day. Based on his recommendations we ordered 2 fresh tuna dinners and loved them!
Greg gave us tourist info even tho he was busy.
We'll be back and we'll sit at Greg's bar!

“Decent food - shame about the smell!”

Nice fresh wahoo sandwich for lunch. Fast and friendly service. Unfortunately the place smelled like porta-potty chemicals.

“Not so Awful”
Reviewed 1 May 2014

My wife, son and I ate lunch for about $29 without tip. The hostess and waitress were very friendly, Atmosphere-wise it seems more bar than family-oriented. They have a kids menu where everything is $6 - like every other restaurant we've visited thus far in OBX. On the plus side, they offer daily specials and fresh catch. We tried a daily special which was tasty; however, it included fried-breaded fish which seemed just a little overcooked and was served over the fries. We both would have preferred the fries on the side - not coated with the lemon-cream sauce. The lemon-cream sauce tasted more like a white gravy. The cole-slaw was a tad dry but, being used to a sweeter dressing, I was pleasantly surprised with a horseradish tang.
