We had a 2 bedroom/2 bath Oceanside unit. The units are dated and the beds were covered with old bedspreads. The rooms are spacious, but you can hear every noise from the neighboring units. We were near the elevator (which is small, dark and dirty) so it sounded like trains rolling past as people were moving their luggage to and from their units. There is a common deck on the Oceanside so if you want to enjoy the view expect to see people walking by your window. There were two kitchen tables in the unit each seating 4. It would have been nicer to have additional seating for the larger table instead of 2 tables. It also lacks many modern amenities such as a fitness center, full set of activities and WiFi.
It is centrally located to all the main attractions on the OBX.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the 3rd floor.

My daughter and I have moderate to mild asthma with Dust Mites as a trigger. We have gone to many RCI resorts and other hotels in the past without a problem. We walked into one of the rooms and I had an immediate attack.

The reviews stating the rooms are old is an understatement and there is wall to wall carpeting, ceiling to floor curtains, and old bed duvets/quilts... they are probably at least of 10-15 years old. The resort seemed to be well kept and but I would not say "clean" as there is not a way to ensure that the old curtains, carpet, and quilts are clean at this point.

Management was less than accommodating or understanding of the situation. We had to fight to get a refund. After a nine hour drive, we have to find an alternative place to stay.

Just wanted to ensure no one else had to encounter what we did.

On the outside, this place doesn't look like much... On the inside, there's tons of room! We are a large family, 6- including 4 children, and this 2br 1 1/2bath full kitchen and spaceous living room was more than enough! Our room faced the ocean and it was so beautiful! Drinking coffee on the deck in the early morning, priceless. I will recommend this place to everyone! The only downfall is the indoor pool and office is across the street. There aren't any signs that say "check in across the road" or "office --->" :/. Still, a very small bump in the road :)

Located in Kill Devil Hills, you are walking distance from beaches, pools, restuarants and lots of things to do. The units are spacious and accommodating. This kitchen is nicely stocked (even had coffee and popcorn). This was a quick weekend girls' getaway, so the two bedroom, two bathroom was perfect for my friend and me. The unit was very clean. It is a tad "dated" but, it still worked! We were on the top floor (third level) and I'm glad it was just a weekend trip, because of carrying up all of our luggage etc. The inside pool was packed, as well as the jacuzzi, so we did not have the opporunity to check it out. Staff was either very friendly or not-so-much. Check out was kind of squirrely, as you have to contact housekeeping to have the unit inspected before checking out, which we had to wait for a little while for them to arrive. Besides all of those details, I would return again.

Room Tip: If you aren't ocean front, then request a high level so you can see the ocean.

We just returned from a very chilly spring break weekend! Loved this property and its location. We had an ocean front room with amazing views. Yes, rooms were a bit dated but not worn out and really clean and incredibly spacious. We had a bit of a minor issue with the toilet running and they had someone at our door within minutes to fix it! As others have said not too much info when checking in so make sure you ask if you have questions. The info is in the room as to check out and all that is required for that. As others have stated this is not a hotel but condos mainly used for time share owners. Perfect for those of us that want a full kitchen and space when we travel.
Pros- Room were large and a great space for a family.
Kitchen is very well stocked with kitchen ware.
Plenty of linen and blankets, pool towels are provided
2 outdoor pools and hot tubs
indoor pool and hottub
location on the beach is great

Cons-The bedroom in the ocean front rooms face the parking lot which can be a bit noisy at night
when other guests come in late. Wasn't a huge issue for us but just something I noticed.
Windows in the living room were quite drafty.
Had a jacuzzi tub in the bedroom and there wasn't enough hot water to use it one night but
managed to have enough the following night. (too cold for the hot tub outside so this was
my alternative)
All and all I hope to return and will definately stay at this property again!!

Room Tip: 2nd floor and up have better views 1st floor rooms may not have a full view of the ocean due to the dunes. Indoor pool is across the street.
