This is a very nice resort on the beach. There was no elevator to the third floor but they did use an outside elevator type thing to help move all of our stuff to our unit. The loved the almost 360 view from the unit and even though we were not on the beach we still had a nice view of the beach.

We booked a 3-bedroom condo here and had a great stay. Nice location. Had a beach view from my bedroom but couldn't hear the waves because the a/c was so loud (located in bedroom closet). The other 3 women agreed that all the mattresses could be replaced - since they were way too soft. The condo was nicely furnished and clean with plenty of kitchen amenities. Unfortunately there is no elevator which makes lugging bags up and down a little dangerous for us older folks. If you don't have a data plan, you'll need to take a short walk to the clubhouse for wi-fi access. Beautiful area and lots of shopping and restaurants as well as other attractions. DO NOT SPEED on Hwy 64! The speed limit is 55 mph!

Thank you for your review. We are sorry that your unit was not serviced by an elevator. However all of our oceanfront three bedroom units do have elevator service. Please don't hesitate to call in advance to find out about your unit or it's proximity to the ocean. As always we will use your comments to help improve our resort. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Our stay at the Outer Banks Beach Club was delightful. The staff from the office to maintance to the cleaning staff was extremely accommodating, friendly and helpful. We were having family over for dinner, and I asked about additional pots, serving bowls and silverware. Without hesitation I was given everything I needed. Our rooms were very comfortable and very clean. Our stay here was very pleasant.

Room Tip: Be sure that you know that there is rooms located on the ocean side of the street as well as across...

This was our first time at the Outer Banks Beach Club 1. The location is excellent. It was right on the beach and the beach was very nice. The buildings and rooms remind you of an old woman who was once very beautiful, however has lost its luster. The first greeting we got was from a 2" long palmetto bug. Another stopped by a couple of days later to see what happened to his squished friend. We stayed in a one bed room unit. There were no elevators, so if you happen to be in the penthouse on the 3rh floor, beware. The rooms and furnishing were more like what you would see in an inexpensive hotel. They had Formica counter tops and low end appliances. In fact the stove was one of those very narrow one make be Brown. Never heard of that brand before. The bed was very cheap and uncomfortable. The one bed room units only have queen sized beds. The thing that was most disappointing was the nickel and diming you to death. There were no washer and dryers in the unit, so you had to go to this dark and dank area under the units in order to do the wash. They charger $1.75 per each load. I have never stayed in a time share that required you to pay for the wash most units had them in the unit or in a nearby hallway. They also charge for the internet. The fee was about $35 for a week. A month of DSL only costs $35 and they have multiple units sharing the same connections. They do have free internet in the office. If I was an owner here, I would be very upset, but luckily, this was just one of those extra vacations booked through RCI. Would not recommend more that 2 people in the one bedroom units. It would be mighty cramped. I forgot what it was like to watch an old crappy TV until I got here. They still had the old dinosaurs. I could not even hook a laptop to in because all I had was an HDMI cable. But alas, because I was too cheap to buy the internet, I couldn't download any movies anyway. When I called down to the office to find out where the washing machines were, they told be it was in the blue book on the coffee table. All they had to say was, they are underneath the units and all this information was in the book, but this would have been far to helpful and polite to do that. It is very close to the beach and in a beautiful area, or I would have rated it even lower.

We stayed in the OBBC2 Oceanfront. Wow, just loved it. Had to take nothing but clothes, personal items and food. They provide towels even for the beach and has a towel exchange. Activities planned at the club house. Great pools except the hot tub at our complex was not really warm and jets weren't great. Indoor pool could have been warmer. Just loved and can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: Ocean front or the top floor of units 1 or 11 because you could see the ocean from them. These are a...

As others have noted, this was beautifully clean. We were in room 9 D which was a fairly good location. There was some issue with the booking being for a ground level ocean front room, and in fact was an upper floor with no elevator. However this was quickly resolved to our satisfaction as we were assigned a room with a nearby elevator...but did not get ocean front. I would def recommend this hotel.. ONE staff woman in the office seemed rude that we needed adjustment in our location (we are unable to carry luggage up stairs), she acted as though we were at fault, and we were not. At least FOUR staff persons went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating at different times during the week. The kitchen was totally stocked and the housekeeping inspector came quickly when we called and checked us out. ONLY complaint is expensive wireless connection, which I would not buy! and the one womans rudeness in the office.

Room Tip: make sure you know what room you are getting, if you can not get ocean front ask for an end room and...

Second time I've spent a week here and loved it both times. Condo was very comfortable, roomy and very clean. Stayed on the ocean-side and the view was beautiful. Nice balconies and spacious bathrooms. Kitchen was fully equipped as was everything else. Only complaint was the elevator was dilapidated and scary. Close to many fine restaurants.
