Beautiful, but challenging golf course, with tennis courts and a pool. The dining facilities are top-notch backed by an excellent chef. For a treat, dince on the screened porch overlooking the course.

We are out of town members since 2009 & have hosted friends, family & special events at Duck Woods with no disappointments. We have celebrated weddings, birthdays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter & Mother's Day with family of all ages. Patrick, the manager is always accommodating & his staff members are just great. The food has improved every year & the bar is a great gathering place. The golf course is very sporty and fun for both the more seasoned & the beginner golfer. Great place to golf & eat on the Outer Banks!

Great Country Club at a great value, and the management, especially the General Manager, Patrick O'Keefe are consummate professionals.

Played Duck Woods for the first time a few weeks ago after vacationing on the Outer Banks numerous times per year for the last 15 years. Played with a friend who is a member, even though they accept outside play if you call and make a tee time.

The new clubhouse is beautiful and you can tell why this is THE full service country club for locals. One of the things I like about all of the courses on the Outer Banks is that there's not one that's similar to the next, and Duck Woods is no exception. Although relatively flat, there's plenty of variety while wandering through swamp and around the numerous water hazards, some of which are hidden from the tee, but placed in such a way that they present acceptable risk/reward choices. I was happy I played with a member and would recommend that you buy a yardage book and pay close attention to it if playing without the benefit of live local knowledge. I have to admit that I wasn't expecting much in the way of conditioning with it being early in the season (April) and the requisite greens and fairways aeration that is typical with Mid-Atlantic courses during this time of year. However, despite a few bumps on the greens, I was impressed by the attention to detail and would say that, while it wasn't up to the standards of a full time private club with a big budget, it was better than most semi-private courses that will see.

I'm a big fan of Currituck Club, SeaScape, and Kilmarlic, and will be adding Duck Woods to that rotation for my next OBX golf trip.
