Good food, good service. All was wonderful, except the Chowder was 3rd place of three I had this week. Get the crab dip instead. I'm glad we ordered both.

The food was good with typical seafood prices. We sat on the upper deck which had a view of the ocean. Unfortunately the service was really bad. We waited about 15 minutes before someone came and apologized for the wait and took our drink orders. We then waited another 10 minutes before anyone came back to take our order. After we finished it took almost 20 minutes to get a box and the bill. We had a restless one year old with us and I actually had to leave the restaurant while my husband waited for the bill. We were at the restaurant for an hour and a half. The sandwiches we ordered were really good and my husband had a big plate of oysters.

We really enjoyed our food eating in their open-air upper level dining area which has a view of the ocean over the intervening roof tops. Friendly wait staff & the food was delicious with generous portions. Our party ate a Tsunami Tuna Salad, a Seafood Chowder, a Flounder Platter and a Scallop Platter. Will happily go back again for another meal. Followed our meal with a stroll on the Kure Beach pier which is the oldest pier on the Atlantic seaboard. Very enjoyable evening!

We enjoyed Jack MacKerals Island Grill so much that we went two times out of three nights we were in town. The service was outstanding, food selection great and pricing was very reasonable.
