“Truly a diamond location in Lake Lure”
Reviewed 13 July 2012

We had the pleasure of traveling to the Lodge for Memorial Day weekend. This was our 2nd trip to North Carolina and our first stay at a B&B and I must say that I'm so glad we chose to stay at The Lodge. The staff is by far the friendliest we have encountered and the location of the lodge is absolutely perfect! The scenery surrounding the property is breathtaking. My husband and I took walks around the lodge and sat down by the lake and soaked in the gorgeous views. The room (Mellow Yellow) in the Lake House was just amazing and had an unobstructed view of the lake. We didn't have the opportunity to experience dinner at the Lodge because we met up with wonderful friends but we heard such rave reviews of the food. We did have breakfast and it was AWESOME!!!

Thanks to the staff at the Lodge and look forward to our next visit!

Room Tip: Definitely stay at the Lake House, gorgeous view and semi private balcony.

This was our first visit to the area. We have only stayed in 3 B&B's. The Lodge by far is in a league of its own. It was roomy and private felt more like a small resort than a B&B. We were greeted by a very friendly staff with wine and snacks offered at 4pm plus cookies to snack. A very nice touch especially after a long day. We enjoyed dinner there on Saturday night. The meal was delicious and presented nicely. Our room was very comfortable and had a nice view of the lake. The staff was always very friendly and helpful with recommendations. The breakfasts were so delicious especially the eggs benedict. Arlene was very friendly and accomodating. We sat out on the deck every morning and it was so nice. Everything from the friendly staff, to the room and the food were perfect at The Lodge.

Room Tip: We stayed on the lower level in the main bldg. Our room was plenty big and comfortable. Very nice vi...

My husband and I spent this past weekend on a quiet birthday getaway at The Lodge on Lake Lure. We arrived promptly at check in time (4:00). We were welcomed with a glass of wine and an assortment of appetizers. We were shown to our lovely room, Golden Pond, which had a wonderful view of the lake. We ate dinner both nights in the Inn. We enjoyed crab cakes on Friday night and meatloaf on Saturday night. I honestly could not tell you which meal was better! We shopped in nearby Hendersonville on Saturday and attended a late afternoon play. We really enjoyed our rested weekend at the Lodge. The staff was very hospitable and the breakfast and dinners absolutely delicious. We will definitely return in the Fall.

Room Tip: We loved our room, the Golden Pond. It had a king size bed, large sitting room, outside balcony and...

We stayed in the "Roman Holiday" room and it was just lovely. Everything about The Lodge was such high quality. They do need to offer a whole grain bread with breakfast rather than all the white flour biscuits and bread, but other than that it was a perfectly lovely visit.

We stayed at this lodge back in November 2011 for a long weekend and loved it so much, we decided to book a week long vacation in the summer to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. The Lodge on Lake Lure is fabulous! The rooms are beautiful and the food is amazing. Both times, we had dinner on the weekend, and Chef Andrew is second to none. Loved the low country crab cakes!!

The staff is very attentive, friendly, and helpful. Special thanks to Ani, Billy, Irene & Andrew. Horst, we are so sorry we didn't get to see you this time, but will be back soon. Our anniversary/summer vacation couldn't have been better. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Room Tip: The rooms in the main lodge are much quieter. We stayed in the Lake House the first time. The room...

My husband took me to the restaurant at the Lodge on Lake Lure for my birthday and it was a wonderful dining experience. He ordered the shrimp and grits, but I had already decided what I was going to order before we went. The menu is posted for the weekend and I had been told that the meat loaf was outstanding. Michael outdid himself with the best meat loaf I have ever eaten. We cannot wait to revisit the Lodge in the fall to see what other culinary treats he comes up with. We would definitely recommend a visit to the Lodge and the restaurant.

Room Tip: We were not staying at the Lodge, but did have the opportunity to view one of the rooms there. They...

I took my wife on a surprise weekend for our anniversary to the Lodge on Lake Lure. Lake Lure is one of my wife's favorite places as she grew up visiting her aunt and uncle here. Our weekend experience was magnificent. The views from the room were wonderful. Our room had views from the bathroom footed tub and from the balcony as well. The staff went out of their way to be sure our experience was the best it could be.
We ate Friday and Saturday night at the Lodge. The food was great with a limited menu (three entrees) but well prepared delicious meal which we ate on the deck as we watched the sun set over the mountains around the lake.
Canoes are available and we canoes Saturday morning over to the family house. The grounds are beautifully maintained. There is a deck over the boathouse for lounging.
We were fortunate enough to meet the owner who was very gracious. He and his wife were just before leaving to visit their winery in South Africa. We do not drink much wine but they have a large variety of choices and each afternoon at 4PM they have snacks and wine.
If you are looking for a quiet pampered weekend away, the Lodge at Lake Lure is your place. We will surely return again.
