The lodge sits right on the shore of Lake Lure, the view is spectacular!! Everyone from the cleaning staff right up to and including the owner where more than gracious. The breakfast was cooked perfectly. The lodge it's self was what a lodge should be, rustic and beautiful. I suggest getting one of the rooms with a fireplace and trying one of their bottles of champagne it makes for a nice night.

Stayed at the lodge for a overnight trip for Valentines and loved it!! Staff was wonderful and the lodge was rustic and beautiful with great views of Lake Lure. In the evening they had hors d'oeuvres and a complimentary glass of wine. Breakfast was delicious. We will definitely go back, maybe this summer!!

The hotel is really amazing. The staff, the atmosphere, the rooms, everything can be definitely tagged as “impressive”. The hotel offers a very nice stay and the lake is accessible and very near it. It has also possibility for having a boat trip. The rooms with fireplace are wonderful, especially the room called “fortune cookie”, where you can read a book quietly in front of the fireplace or, if you want, in the hydro massage! .

Room Tip: Room called "fortune cookie" is very quiet and has hydro massage, and fireplace

We visited the Lodge on Lake Lure for a mid-week getwaway and it was great! I was a little skeptical because we normally stay in 5 star hotels when we travel for vacation and I had to pay in full at the time of booking but I went ahead and it was worth every penny! It is quiet, you are truly away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and the rooms have all of the modern day amenities one can ask for. Every staff memeber went out of their way to say "hello", smile or just lend assistance whenever they possibly could. We had a nice hot breakfast with blueberry pancakes and some of the best bacon I've ever had! My boyfriend (the complainer) had nothing but raving reviews. Our cabin looked exactly the same as the video we saw on their website. I would recomment this lodge to anyone going to the Asheville/Lake Lure/Chimney Rock area as I will definately return upon any future trips to the area.

Room Tip: We stayed in Blazing Saddles where we had our own private balcony and tub overlooking the lake.

This is among the very best B&Bs we have ever found. We felt comfortable and well-taken care of from the moment we arrived and were escorted to our room with a tour along the way. We enjoyed the social hour (complete with wine, cheese, and other light snacks), dinner (beef wellington cooked to perfection, delicious shrimp etouffee, yummy apple cake, as well as a decent wine selection), and breakfast (an assortment of sweets, breads, granola, and fabulous eggs benedict). We were also pleased that tea, as well as coffee, were available all day. Nothing was over the top - just a perfectly casual and comfortable experience. We stayed in the Half N' Half which was a good value with a view of the lake. We loved the fireplace and the comfy bed. We will be back and hope you won't change much before our next visit. Thank you for a wonderful visit.

We stayed here in October 2012 and it was wonderful! The Lodge itself was beautiful and incredibly clean.
The staff was warm, welcoming and helpful. Billy checked us in after a long day of driving and we felt at home as soon as we walked in the doors! He recommended a restaurant nearby and even called in the reservation for us.
Molly also was really friendly and helpful in getting us anything we needed. Every staff member we encountered was super friendly.
The dining tables overlook the lake as do many of the rooms. The Lodge did offer dinner one of the nights we were there and we really enjoyed it. The food was great! The breakfasts were delicious and included a fruit bowl, a warm option and always had some sort of pastries, cereals, juices and coffee.
The Lodge is very close to Chimney Rock State Park and only minutes from some great restaurants. It was so nice to be right down on the lake and the Lodge even has canoes that you can take out at any time.
We will definitely stay here on our next trip to the area!

The lodge was very well kept and all employees were very friendly. Would be nice to have more amenities; Kayaks, Stand up paddles boards, pool or jacuzzi, etc. It would be nice too if the wine tasting hour were extended to 1.5 or 2 hours.
