The room was perfect, the dinner couldn't be much better, and the view is fantastic! The staff is very friendly and efficient.
Everything about this place makes you feel like you can't wait to come back again. What more can one say about it?

We had an amazing stay at The Lodge on Lake Lure! The entire staff worked tirelessly with a smile to make our family feel at home. The farm-to-table prepared meals were incredible - from breakfast to late night snacks. Only the views and "insta-relaxation" are equal to the service and the decor of The Lodge.

I cannot say enough about the accommodations, surroundings and charm of the Lodge at Lake Lure. My husband and I spent only a couple of days for a quick honeymoon at the lodge, and Horst and the staff went above and beyond our expectations to make a brief getaway all that it could be. The grounds and rooms are absolutely gorgeous, with a beautiful boat dock/deck to take in the views of the lake, as well as the lovely views from our room, of course. As for the room, the furnishings and bathroom were so elegant—I didn’t want to leave! As if all this weren't enough, the food was divine—as with everything else, I only wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy more. This place has everything you could ask for. We will certainly be returning to the Lodge and cannot wait to do so. Until then—thank you to Horst and everyone at the Lodge for an amazing stay. We’ll see you next time!

Upon arrival we felt a sense of serenity which continued throughout our entire visit. Most all of the walking, dining and room views of Lake Lure's peacefulness were an addition to our much welcomed get a way experience. Our host, Horst, was very gracious and sincere. We shared some wonderful conversation and spectacular wine from Horst's own vineyard by a grand wood burning fireplace. Billy, Chelsea , Jennifer, Terri, Adam and all the rest of the staff were exceptional in attending to the comfort of our stay. The new chef Philippe's expertise in the kitchen was OUTSTANDING. A visit to Lake Lure Lodge is recommended to all!

We were lucky to have been to The Lodge on Lake Lure in September of this year. Our room (The Fortune Cookie) was wonderful with everything we could possibly want was there for us. Horst (and Rebecca) were charming hosts whom we really enjoyed visiting with. The first night we arrived in time for "Happy Hour" and were so impressed with the wines and snacks that we decided to have dinner right there. What a fabulous experience! The food was absolutely delicious. Everyone helps out from front desk to kitchen staff to assure a wonderful dinner. The chef came out to check that everything was perfect. It was! It was so great we enjoyed another fabulous dinner the following night and we were glad we did. This was really a wonderful experience! We'll be back!

Everything at this lodge is very well maintained. All of the room furnishing are comfortable and very high quality. We enjoyed the wine and appetizers. The breakfast was exceptionally good. All kinds of good things with fresh fruit and tasty breads as well as a hot meal option. Excellent!!!
Really enjoyed it here and would give it a very high rating. Everything you would want in a hotel/inn rental

On our fall trip through the mountains, we stayed at the Lodge for three nights. What a pleasure to have Horst as the innkeeper. He is professional. And friendly. The decor is warm and comfortable and the views from the dining room and particularly our room.....the African queen.... Are beautiful. Our suite room was amazing and had everything we needed from the fireplace to the large bathroom and tub....the wrap around porch made us as though we were perched in the tree tops. .breakfasts were special...there were usually two choices. Homemade rolls.....afternoon sweets and wine and snacks in early evening just added to the amazing dinng....make sure you have at least one dinner at the lodge...they are excellent....however they are not open every night. A lovely place to return.. Only minor suggestion. Screen on the sliding doors As the mosquitoes were abundant in the evening and we couldn't open the doors...

Room Tip: The suites are well worth the money....
