This place is awesome in every way. We stayed in the Fortune Cookie Suite & I was happy I asked the person who took my reservation to pick one for us! Loved having a jacuzzi tub & a terrace with the most beautiful view of Lake Lure. It was our first visit, & I hope we are able to visit again. We enjoyed our breakfast, our hosts, the lodge, the history & especially the boat dock. I could sit down there all summer long! This place would be wonderful any time of year. It is a special place. I think 4th of July would be beautiful with all the water activity & boating.

Room Tip: We loved our room in the main building of the lodge & may ask for the other building next time...

My wife and I stayed here in late January. The lodge itself is very clean and the surroundings are beautiful. We stayed in the fortune cookie suite and it was great. The staff was incredible. Chef Phillipe was magnificent!! From breakfast to Dinner, the food was fantastic. Mary Jean was the most gracious host and we really enjoyed her hospitality. We didn't want to leave and almost didn't. We would highly recommend the Lodge to anyone for any time of year. We can't wait to go back ourselves and hope to visit real soon. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience and we look forward to our next trip to Lake Lure.

Soft music in a homey lounge, a fireplace in my room, a large tub with a view of the lake, a balcony in the midst of large trees, a great breakfast and homemade oatmeal cookies for snacks. Silence - no traffic noise - NONE! I was in heaven. Plus Biily (at the front desk) took time out to fix a reservation that I messed up- way beyond the call of duty. We travel a lot and this place was, hands down, superior in every way!

Our favorite place. Beautiful view of the lake, and dinner is always wonderful. Cheerful staff. Quiet and serine. Many things to do but why bother when you can just sit by the lake. NO late check outs without a fee.

Room Tip: All rooms we've stayed in are great.

Beautiful location on Lake Lure. Boat ride avail 5pm right from lodge's dock. Hike down to the boat house and drink in the beauty and serene mountain lake vista. Friendly attentive staff. Great warm breakfast served in the bright cheery dining room with views of the lake.. Rooms are clean and uniquely decorated in mountain style. On rainy cool days make sure you sit by the enormous fireplace in the great room. Always like to come back to this hideaway.

We spent two nights in the Barnwood room this weekend and absolutely loved our stay at this beautifully decorated and comfortable inn. The views every morning were breathtaking and the staff were so warm and welcoming while still allowing us plenty of privacy. The food was the most pleasant surprise - definitely have dinner at the Lodge if you're able. The meal was memorable and the pastry chef in particular is extremely talented, from the warm biscuits at breakfast to the flaky crust on the pear tartin for dessert. I love that they are also dog friendly.

We will back!

Room Tip: Barnwood is dog friendly. If we were to visit without a dog we would seek out one of the rooms with...

This Inn/B&B is absolutely amazing. The Golden Pond room was very nice & the view was spectacular. The property has a boat house with a deck on top which is great for relaxing & taking in the beautiful views. The breakfast was fantastic. The dinners at the on site restaurant, The Treetops, was top notch. Don't pass this up if you're looking to stay in this area.
