We had a very comfortable and enjoyable tour of the entire lake and it's surroundings. The tour guide was very friendly and informative. It was also very educational and interesting. The views of the mountains and landscapes were also spectacular. Nothing to complain about. It's easy to get to and plenty of parking

Lake Lure should be called Lake Cash, or perhaps Millionaire Lake, due to the million dollar homes all around this lake. There is an interesting history to this Lake, which was damned up in 1927 and thus created by...MAN! So man made the lake, rich man made the homes, and the rest of us get to tour the lake, which is fine on a hot summer's day. Regardless of this being "millionaire lake", the cost of a tour is a mere 15 sammolians...that's 15 dollars to us non-samoles. We had great fun and the hour went too fast. Our guide was terrific, hardly taking a breath while telling us ALL about the area, the homes, the various residents, the interesting history. All in all a good time, a good price, and you can't go wrong on one of these cool pontoon tour boats. Really enjoyed this.

I have taken this tour several times and on June 14 I took my family with grandkids and took this tour and everyone loved it. You would not believe how large this lake really is until you take this tour. When they turn the boat around to show you the Million Dollar View it will take your breath away. The guides are very informative and lots of fun. This tour takes one hour and is well worth the time and money.

This was a beautiful tour of the lake. Mostly we heard about the history of the mountain, Rumbling Bald, and of the land around the lake. The lake is manmade and is pretty large. The tour guide knew a lot about the homes around the lake, what they were worth and who lived there. It was an interesting activity. The cost is very inexpensive.
