“Candy & Antiques - It doesnt get any better”
Reviewed 16 August 2013

The Candy Factory is NOT your average candy shop although they do sell candy and plenty of it. A huge assortment of delicious chocolates are kept in a glass case, there is something for every kind of chocoholic including really good sugar free pieces. You get to choose the kinds you want to fill up your box, nothing is pre-wrapped. Don't want chocolates? There is every type of penny candy going back to your childhood and that mean a long way back to mine. Candy is also found in huge wooden kegs so you can grab a handful of this, a handful of that and fill up your bag and here again, it's from your childhood as well as the current gummy bear favorites.

This is a shop to reminisce in, to wander back in time as even the building is an antique. The wooden floors creak as you move around and the walls are filled with racks of small hand held toys also from your childhood. There is a back room that is a favorite hidey hole of mine as it really does turn me into a kid again. There are all sorts of old games like Candyland (of course), dolls and my favorite - books. Last time I was in I purchased 5 of the Bobbsey Twin books to send to my niece, I haven't seen those books since I was young enough to read them. This is a store where you can find an atmosphere that screams antique but the candy is today fresh.

All kinds of memorabilia and wonderful candies! They have candies and gum that you don't or haven't seen in a while. A great selection of chocolates too.

“A Blast from the Past”
Reviewed 29 July 2013

The Candy Factory is a treat for young and old. They carry candies I ate when I was younger and all the popular candies now. They have displays of old toys and books and all sorts of things for sale. I live in Davidson County so I am fortunate to be able to go by anytime. The Candy Factory is a credit to Lexington..

“Sweet place to visit”
Reviewed 29 July 2013

This is an old timey candy store in downtown Lexington. It's a fun place to visit and it stirs up fond memories of yesteryears. Kids love it and adults do too. It's especially nice to visit during the various holidays.
