Nice and large country style house. Rustic decor and well equipped. Internet is reasonable speed. Some age of furnishings are beginning to show. A bit more than we normally spend in this area but not bad. Will come back but to another of the Villas.

Thanks for leaving your review. We appreciate your feedback. Villa 2 is our largest Villa, sleeping as many as 18. We just replaced the 6 foot pool table with a solid wood full sized table. This winter it is scheduled for many of the furnishings to be replaced. We do the villas on a rotating schedule.
We are glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to having you stay with us again soon.

The tranquil grounds near the creek with the sound of the water rushing over the rocks allow a person to rejuvenate themselves. The rooms are clean and well equipped. The staff go out of their way to make sure that you have an enjoyable visit. Having stayed in upstairs and ground level rooms, we recommend either. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are available in the lobby. The game room is well stocked with games and books for reading. The kids will enjoy the indoor pool and koi pond, even the BIG kids. The Inn will be our destination at least once a year or more if possible. If you need anything, just ask Ms. Alice. She is a peach of a lady.

Room Tip: Try to get a creekside room, either level.

Hi,
Thanks for your review. Seventeen years later, I am still mesmerized by the sounds of our creek.

We decided to try Jonathan's after reading other positive reviews. We git a spa room on the creek side that was large and well maintained. The deck overlooking the creek was right outside our door. It was a quiet and friendly place. The location is convenient for day trips to Gatilinburg, Bryson City and the Mountain Railroad, Asheville and other attractions. The area has a good selection of restaurants. We do not like extra firm beds, this queen was uncomfortable. This is the only reason we would not return.

Room Tip: The rooms on the back have the best views. No elevator for second floor rooms.

Hi
Thanks for taking the time to write a review. We use the Serta European Top Mattress, as after extensive testing with our guests, the majority seemed to like them better then the pillow top ones.
We do always carry a supply of pillow topper pads that can be put on any of our beds for those who request a "soft" bed. The style of mattress is difficult to decide on, so we erred on a little firmer style versus a real soft style. Sleep is so important that we have tried to find the best possible choice.
We hope you do come back and we will be sure to put a pillow top pad on the bed for you.

This is an older facility but back right up on Jonathan Creek. The sound of the creek is great and refreshing. Unfortunately the hotel seems to cater to smokers. There are smoking facilities right at the main hotel office entrance as well as the on the porch areas around the hotel. A smoking are must have been near our room because if we left windows open to hear the creek, especially at night, cigarette smoke would come into the room. Our experience is that there is no separation of smoking rooms/area from non-smoking which made it unpleasant. Hospitality of the staff was great!

Hi, Thanks for your comments. All of our interior spaces are smoke free. This includes rooms, lobby, indoor pool, outdoor screened in hot tub. vending and laundry areas. This fall we are also addressing the screened in porch area on the creekside rooms by laying a solid floor on the second floor rooms so that smoke won't infiltrate the area above. We are always trying to be proactive while at the same time protecting the rights of all of our guests.
Once again thanks for your comments, we take them very seriously and want to make a great environment for everyone to enjoy.

We stayed here for two nights and found it to be very comfortable. The staff was most helpful in assisting with directions to nearby areas. The creek behind the building is the best part of our visit. There are swings, hammock chairs and hot tub. Children delighted in playing in the cold mountain water. Will certainly stay here again.

Room Tip: We did not stay creekside as we planned to be on the go a great deal of the time. Our room was ver...

Hi
Thanks for your comments. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay. The creek is truly special.
It's amazing how many hours the kids will stay in it. Every week it takes a new shape as the kids build waterfalls flumes and whatever else they can think of.
Hope we see you again soon.

Have been going to Johathan Creek Inn since 1997. Only place to stay in my opinion. Friendly staff and down home feeling. Would not stay anywhere else. Anyone that we meet each time that we stay always say the same. Place like family and cannot be compared.

Room Tip: Always stay on the Creek Side.
