I've been going to Maggie Valley for at least 10 years and when the motel we stayed at was lost to the recession, we start stay with Mandy and Larry. It as been a wonderful experince and great host, clean rooms, location is wonderful to anything you need. Food, booze, mountains, creek, roads to explore. I've been there 4 times this year and will be back before the snow flies. Yes the rooms are older but who wants to go to Maggie and stay at a motel chain. You'll miss the whole experience.

We paid $70 and checked back out an hour later. Entire carpet stained. Room was full of moths and others bugs. Me and family starting getting bit by bugs we couldn't see and checked back out, at that point. Very outdated. Fridge not plugged in, window left open and owner went and checked room, after I killed all the moths, he said, " didn't see anything, guess it was in my imagination." , so not receptive to crittersisim, got a refund. Never Again.

Clean rooms and nice location. Nice creek directly behind hotel. The sound of the rushing creek is very relaxing. We had stayed at this hotel several years ago and everything was just as we remembered. William was very nice at check in and let me look at two different rooms prior to registering. Very peaceful and relaxing.

Rooms are older but bedding is clean and fun decor. The location and atmosphere is great. I love to hear the creek behind the hotel and the gazebo is nice to relax in. Very close to restaurants and good parking right outside your door. Motorcycle friendly.

My wife and I have stayed there four times this year so far. We usually stay for three or four days at a time for a calm peaceful getaway. This motel is a quiet treasure in Maggie Valley that is located next to a creek. This motel is very small and has ground floor rooms with no balconies and they have eight rooms(four on the ground floor and four on a second floor) that do have balconies right on a cool flowing creek. We always reserve a room with a balcony on the creek. The rooms are decorated with themes ranging from Elvis to John Wayne to Harley Davidson etc. The rooms with the balconies are located under large trees with plenty of shade. We leave the windows open all the time to listen to the flowing creek with its peaceful sounds. We never even turn on the A/C due to it being cool even during the summer. The owners are very nice and have a relaxing approach to guest registration and interaction with guests. This is a permanent destination to go for a couple of days to relax and enjoy the mountain way of life.

Well we are back to visit our old friends and Mandy dosen't dissapoint. Just recently made a trip to the valley and stayed at our home away from home and this place made it a great relaxing visit. I swear the bed are some of the most comfortable that i have stayed in anywhere. The surroundings are great and a great place to unwind.
