We stayed at this hotel last week during their peak leaf season. Rooms are very clean, large and comfortable. The free breakfast was good, not comparable to a Hampton, etc. But, then you're not paying the higher prices for a room. If you stay I hope you get to meet Terrie at the front desk. Talk about multitasking and knowledgeable! One day she was giving us directions to a business, while the phone was ringing, person checking in and two ladies talking over to the side. Didn't phase her a bit. All the employees were nice and accommodating. The only reason I didn't give this hotel a 5 was the absence of an elevator. There are only two floors, so if you have a problem with climbing steps, ask for the ground floor. It's not that we didn't need the exercise, but getting the suitcases up and down was quite a hassle. Even so, I would highly recommend this hotel if you are lucky enough to stay in beautiful Maggie Valley. .

We have enjoyed our stays here before and this was no exception. Staff is superb and it is always a pleasure to talk with them. Hotel is clean and quiet. They have a good breakfast to start the day and the property is close to many other attractions and restaurants. The Festival Grounds are right behind the hotel and there seems to always be something going on there.

I always call the hotel for reservations and they have always met my need for a ground floor room (no elevator). Rates vary with the seasons but most other places in the area do the same. If you ride bikes as we do, you will find the staff is very supportive of your needs - there is parking in a lot next door if you have a trailer and every morning there are towels in the breezeway to wipe down the bike.

Room Tip: Front of the hotel is quiet, the back area has the pool and is where the pet friendly rooms are.

We were four women just on a fun vacation visiting several places. We were going up on the Blue Ridge Parkway and decided to stay here after checking the reviews. Glad we did. This was a very nice hotel and the rooms were clean and a good size to accommodate 4 ladies. The free breakfast was good too. Would definitely stay here again. The beds were very comfortable.

A little run down, but about what I have come to expect from Maggie Valley. Check in was quick once the lady returned to the desk. The room wasn't bad, but had a clogged sink. We were offered another room with an odd smell, so the last room was given to us. Standard, but clean room. The lady at the desk was later seen cleaning the odd smelling room herself. As with most hotels, there are inconsiderate people that would slam doors and shout down the halls, but they did not wake the kids, so no problems. The pool was cold, but nice. The hot tub left a foul odor on me, so I quickly bathed. No problems with the fridge or microwave, and wanted to bring the shower head home. The breakfast was very good with friendly chat shared by all. We were next door to Oktoberfest, so there was entertainment for the evening. Marie (Allen?)at the front desk was essentially running the entire place herself, while dealing with nasty, unfriendly patrons. She was probably the best hotel worker I have ever dealt with.

A wonderful suprise after a less than pleasant experience elsewhere. The staff was great, the room was lovely and clean. And they had green space for walking the dog, and I can't forget a great free breakfast in the morning. It was a peaceful and relaxing 2 days.

All I can say is wow on the front desk staff here.
From Marie to Teddie we received excellent service.
Any problem we had we took it to them and it was done in excellence and professional.
We felt like we knew Marie like a long time friend.
The pool area was clean. The kids enjoyed it.
The rooms were nice and clean.Beds were very comfortable.
The rates are a little pricey on the weekends but the weekday has better rates.
Will definitely stay again in the future.

Maybe it's a Maggie Valley thing. If it weren't for the price, I'd rate this hotel higher. It seems a little worn but not shabby. It's clean. It's neat. It's in good repair. I would stay there again. Not a single complaint. But I feel like I paid 50% more than it was worth. It was definitely 50% more than what I paid to stay in a better place a day earlier.
