“The finest of camping experience's!”
Reviewed 7 July 2012

To celebrate our 6 year old graduating Kindergarten and our 8 year old finishing up his first year of homeschooling, 2nd grade, we decided on a family camping trip. Although my husband and I were avid rustic campers before the kids came along, this would be their first time camping. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect experience. From the moment we checked in, when Mama Bear escorted us to our campsite, to the organized activities centered around the week's theme (Luau), the many do-it-yourself activities (i.e. paddle boating, miniature golf, swimming, etc.) and super-clean facilities, the campground and staff went above and beyond expectations. I HIGHLY recommend it as a family get-away!

This place is AWESOME. I have never stayed at a grampground where they treat you like family. The staff includes all the kids and adults in activities. I didn't see one person in the whole place that wasn't friendly. We loved it :)

We just went there for the weekend and will not return. They need to lay new gravel on all the roads and paths. It is a dusty mess. The bath houses are SMALL and not the best. The water slide is outdated and you feel like you are falling through the steps. The pool was dirty, bugs, grass floating all around you! The wood we bought at the camp store was infested with termites! Very disappointed! and will NEVER return!

Hi! Thank you for posting, and my apologies your campstay was far from ideal. The waterslide was renovated a year an a half ago but we will look into your description of the steps :) The campfire wood shouldn't have any bugs, nor termites but we will certainly circle the wagon and look into your comments noted. Gravel unfortunately is conducive to dust, and is brought in monthly but we will look into this :)Again, my apologies. We recognize the importance of having a clean and well run facility, and strive to do this daily.

For the second year in a row my family took a week long camping vacation at the Jellystone in Marion. This is an outstanding campground for families; plenty of activities, nice pool and waterslide, mini golf, paddleboats, and more. What really stands out at this park though are the people - every single staff member seems like they are having a great time, and every interaction is pleasant. They deliver ice and firewood directly to your campsite, which is a great perk, and I really appreciate how the activity wristbands are available for weeklong stays without extra cost. The only suggestion I would make is for the bathhouse - they do a great job of keeping it clean, but now especially with the newly added tent sites, we found it a little small at night when lines form for showers. There are only two showers and two bathroom stalls per men/women. If they could increase bathroom capacity, this campground would be 100% perfect. However even so, this is a fantastic place to spend a family vacation, and I highly recommend it. Thanks so much for another great vacation Yogi, Running Bear, and the rest of the staff!

Room Tip: Creekside sites have the most room to stretch out.

What a nice little campground. The staff was amazing! This is the place to go if you have kids. The pool and waterslide were a hit! There are planned activities and everything is super convenient. Campsite was clean with a grill, picnic table, and water nearby. Tent sites were nice and shady. Loved it and will go back time and time again!
