We had a wonderful time on the Beanstalk Journey and the Spider Web Tower. We couldn't have asked for better weather. Both Patrick and Josh were fantastic, informative, funny and safety-minded guides. Our kids loved it!! We will be back.

This was our family's first zipline adventure. (Ages 8 to 17) Was thinking the older ones would think it was beneath them to do a "family friendly" course but they really liked it too! The Groupon made it too good to pass up!I boomed a morning spot for the 6 of us and we had the place all to ourselves. (It's located within a big city complex/ park) We got harnessed and helmeted and headed out to the tree house with Patrick and Hillary, our guides. I'm always up for a little adrenaline rush and was surprised I actually felt a bit of fear on this thing! (So did a couple of my kids but they didn't admit that till later! Lol!) The first part are some rope obstacles to get you up there which was fun and once you're up, you go down a series of 5 runs I think. It took about 1.5 hr for us to get through it. Great staff! And I'm so glad we packed a picnic lunch because the park had Pavillion shelters and playground. (Wish we had brought bikes and frizbee) We had a fun time!

The Beanstalk Tour was 20 minutes from our town (Lenoir, NC) and easily accessible, as it was on the grounds of Catawba Meadows Park. Our guides were very knowledgeable in their safety protocols, and were very amiable & entertaining. After a safety class & donning harnesses & helmets, it was a short walk from the office to the beginning of the tour. We started by climbing a short rope tunnel to the 1st platform, crossed a wooden slat/rope bridge, a rope bridge and then, the first of 5 zips. Each zip brought us to a platform that connected to the next zip or to steps or ladders up to the next zip platform. We were safely connected at all times and reminded of safety by our guides. Saving the best for last, was a 500 foot zip bringing you down to a platform from which you semi-rappelled, while being lowered to the ground. The last zip included a brake system which slowed you down automatically; no hand brakes were used. I felt safe, while enjoying the exhilaration of speeding across the zip lines. Our guides mentioned that children as young as 4 have done this tour with their parents. It took an hour, but only because there was one other couple. Catawba Meadows Park has a beautiful children's playground, lots of grass (kite flying!), cement paths for strollers & wheelchairs (hence the check off for wheelchair access), clean bathrooms, concession stand, picnic areas, 2 baseball fields and, a paved walking path (part of the local Greenway). It's a great place to spend the day.

This was our first experience with zip lining and the folks at Beanstalk couldn't have been more welcoming and supportive. They have a high focus on safety but also make it fun for everyone in the group. Our group consisted of kids to grandparents and everyone had a good time. It took us about 2 hours to get through the course and the park setting allows for lots of places to walk and picnic afterwards.
