Fairway Oaks Bed & Breakfast
Ranked #1 of 3 Morganton B&B and Inns

We just finished a 4 night stay at this lovely B&B located in a gated golf community less than 10 miles from downtown Morganton. The setting is peaceful with wonderful views of the nearby mountains and golf course - the entire house and property are immaculate. Joyce and Bernie are the perfect hosts and greeted us on arrival - they also provided great suggestions on where to find local places to eat out for lunch or dinner. We loved the decor which was very charming but not overdone. There is plenty of space outside on the wraparound porch to relax and have some conversations with each other and the owners. We were spoiled daily with homebaked cookies and cake on arrival and wonderful full breakfasts provided daily. This is a great place to stay and explore the surrounding area.

Room Tip: All the rooms were large and sunny - king or queen beds are available.

We stayed at this B&B while attending a wedding near Morganton, and our experience was perfect. The innkeepers were very accommodating. They were not concerned that we had to check in at 10PM, following a rehearsal dinner, and they were very nice to our 2 year old son. The room was spacious, clean, and well decorated. The wrap around porch with swings and rockers was an inviting place to spend time while our son slept in our room. Breakfast was wonderful, and drinks and baked goods were always available. The yard was beautiful and the Gardenias were in full bloom, when we visited. Traveling with a small child can be difficult, but this visit was idyllic. I would definitely go back.

I recently purchased land in Morganton and this was my wife's first time to visit and tell me if I'd done well. We spent two nights at the Fairway Oaks B&B with Bernie and Joyce. The B&B is in a gated upscale golf community, beautiful home in a beautiful spot. Our room was spacious and comfortable, nicely decorated, spotlessly clean. Cookies and delicious lemon squares on arrival, wonderful breakfast each morning.
Bernie and Joyce gave us good advise on things to do in the area and gave us a glimpse of what life is like in Morganton. They're very nice people, great hosts and we hope to see them again when we move to area.

The innkeepers, Bernie & Joyce, made our stay personalized and relaxing, providing cookies and cake upon our arrival. They also provided incredible breakfasts, and Joyce even gave us both a hug when we left! The B&B is in a gated, residential golf course community, so it's quiet, and we felt very safe. My husband played a round of golf while I sat on the front porch swing and read. One evening, we played pool in the B&B's basement, where there's also a big-screen TV and a piano. The rooms and common areas are adorably decorated, and it's clear that Joyce is detail oriented. The bed was comfortable, and everything was very clean.

Room Tip: Calling works better than e-mailing.

A great place to stay! Beautiful inside and out! Innkeepers are very accommodating, helpful, and pleasant. Great advice on local place to eat. Room very comfortable, dining room and amenities easily accessible. Breakfast was wonderful!
We were traveling on motorcycle and needed to check tire pressure. Bernie was on hand to help with that, even drug out his air compressor for our use. We definitely will be back in ever in the area and needing a place to stay.
Like the simplicity of rooms numbered and all the same rate.
There's a pool table downstairs that we used as well...very homey.

Wonderful location on a gated golf course, our room was excellent with a en-suite, wi-fi included, two course breakfast, our hosts were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. A fridge was on the landing with complimentary drinks, we were offered cake on our arrival. Ideal location to visit grandfather mountain on the blue ridge mountain. If only B&B's were like this in the UK
