Enjoyed lunch today at Barney's after touring the Andy Griffith Museum. Country fried steak with gravy real mashed potatoes and a wide variety of choices as sides. Served with cornbread or dinner rolls. I tried the North Carolina soda Cheerwine tastes like cherry coke. Service was fast and definite diner atmosphere.Too full to try desserts but had homemade cakes, pie and ice-cream .Prices very reasonable and enjoyed the Barney and Mayberry memorabilia. The daily specials were the country fried steak or meatloaf at $6.00 for the meal CHEAP and Good. Fun afternoon !
