The barista here, who also seems to be the owner, is excellent. Stumbled upon this café while looking for a place to check email while in town for a few days. Came back three times, twice for coffe and once for lunch. Good paninis. Didn’t have time to check them out for dinner (by reservation on Friday and Saturday evenings), but will do so the next time we are in town.

It is sad that Antica Roma should get a number 1 review from a visitor out of town. Just because there are empty tables, it does not mean those tables are not reserved. Each and every table at Antica Roma has the patrons names placed on it. How sad that someone can come in just one time and give an unfair review. They don't know if one of the waitresses was sick that day and they were short handed. It appears too many people have a lot of time on their hands these days and they have nothing better to do but say untrue things about others. Antica Roma ROCKS!!!!

In a mountain town like Murphy, NC we did not expect the quality we had at Antica Roma. The food was home cooked to order, fresh and delicious. We had the veal parm. and the chicken parm. Both were tender, moist and seasoned perfectly . The portions were right on and the service was top shelf as well. The chocolate dipped cannoli with ricotta filling was crazy good.
I would make one suggestion. Offering fresh ground pepper from a pepper mill would top off some of the dishes with a bit of zest for those that want it. Also, an order of garlic bread would be a good add on item. We can't wait to get back to Antica Roma.

Mamma Mia- what a delight to eat at the Antica Roma Caffe! We enjoyed lunch so much we returned two days later and had their breakfast. Desserts? Don't even get me started on how delicious they are! They are still wiping my saliva off the display case! What a great story about this Italian family coming over to open a restaurant in America... so happy we found them!

Iincredible meal. Started a little scary because the waitress appears and spouts off four entree with no prices. With each meal you got an appetizer and salad and aside of pasta. I had the shrimp scampi and my husband had a chicken dish in lemon wine butter sauce both dishes were outstanding. The Caecer salad was probably the best I have ever had. The desserts are all home made and all are to die for . I highly recommend this place but you better have reservations
