Was looking for a local coffee/tea shop, non-commercialized for a chai latte. Being the first day of fall, they were offering a pumpkin chai latte... excellent. Made me feel at home in PA with such a fall treat. Bonus was the spinach feta and leek pastry braid. Texture of a flaky and fresh croissant, warm and layered like a turnover. Delish.

We wanted a family friendly coffee shop with menus items for all ages. We got this here. A local favorite according to many and so we went for breakfast during our week stay at the OBX. We had a sugar filled morning but none of us complained. Chocolate filled croissants, ham and cheese croissants(warmed) hot chocolate, mochas, almond milk latte, chocolate milk...we had everything we wanted. The small cafe has a small store with coffee you can purchase, whole bean or grind it your self. Magnets, glasses, coffee mugs, souvenirs could be purchased here as well. Right next door is the Glazin-Go-Nuts or Pottery Painting studio. It opened later than our visit to the coffee shop so we came back, but it appears it holds over flow when the place gets busier. There is not a lot of seating indoors, but a table or two outdoor is available. Everyone was friendly and customer service was great! We will be back next year!

This was really some of the best coffee I've ever had. I ordered the Brazilian coffee and had them do the pour-over. It was excellent; clean, distinctive, high quality flavor, free of any off-taste, not acid or bitter. I did not think it was overly strong. I had a refill of the Sumatran, which was also quite good though this time it was from the air pot and not quite as superlative in flavor.

The atmosphere was really nice, you could stay for hours and not feel you were taking up space. I was a tourist but apparently it's a favorable meeting place for locals, too; the guy at the table next to me was going over some architectural drawings with a client.

Yep, it's strong--brewed full strength! Unbelievable that some restaurants cut the amount of coffee they use when brewing coffee--just makes the coffee more bitter. We do however offer 3 different coffees each day so you will find a light, medium, and dark roast each day.
Tip: if you find your coffee a bit on the strong side, ask the barista to add in a little hot water to suit your taste.
