We stayed at Meadows Inn B&B in New Bern in September 2012 and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our hosts, Betty and John, were very friendly and helpful, with suggestions for places to visit and eat at, and helped us enormously with our onward journey. The home they welcome you into is very pleasant and there's plenty of coffee, tea and snacks available all the time. Breakfast was good, plenty of it and tasty, served by both hosts, who were willing to stay and chat, but were not intrusive when you want privacy. I thoroughly recommend the Meadows Inn. Do not be put off by the lack of outward "shine" to the house.
